Good Evening Mr/Madam Chairman and ladies and gentlemen, before I begin my speech today, I like to point out the flaws in the negative teams case Now I will move onto the substance of my speech. When we state that we should ban animal testing we mean we should ban ONLY animal testing. We don’t mean banning the the product itself. Banning animal testing does not mean cosmetic products can’t be produced. Make-up companies such Lush cosmetics, It cosmetics, Zuzu Luxe are produced cruelty free without the use of animal testing. “Some companies claim that without animal testing, innovation in the cosmetics industry is impossible. After 30 years of developing products with only known, safe ingredients, we still haven't run out of ideas; it just takes a little creativity.” says lush cosmetics. Lush Cosmetics are known for only using well known substances that don’t require any testing to be done. They then send out their products to volunteer testers who give them feedback and whether or not their product was effective. If a world renowned company can sell many best-selling products without testing them on animals so can you! Further on, cosmetic products can be tested using the innovative technology that we possess. It is a proven fact that technology is surprisingly more accurate than animals. We have so many technological advancements and various ethical solutions as alternatives to animal testing. Currently, there are numerous technologies available that offer a highly accurate testing solution, one of these options is Vitro testing . Vitro testing showcases a highly intelligent system that grows human cells which mimic the function of real human organs called organs-on-chips. This advanced system is a direct alternative to use instead of real animals and in-fact delivers even more precise results as it mimics the human body. In the future, this kind of testing will become increasingly developed and innovated as more similar technologies will be created as well. Conclusively, there are many other alternatives to animal testing, through the use of Vitro Testing and other revolutionary technologies or just not testing on animals in a whole. Thank you.
