THE SOIL A nation that destroys its soil destroys itself.” Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the Air and giving fresh strength to our people. Explain the relevance of preserving forests by Connecting to SDG 15- Life on Land. We have been destroying soil by taking out trees by burning them down. When trees are burnt, they release gas that harms air surrounding the forest, which also damages the lungs of the people around the trees. What the guests of the Earth, humans, are doing now absolutely goes against what Roosevelt said. We all need to plant some trees to take out these massive pollutants that could be shortening the lifespan of our Earth. We have been polluting the Earth we are guests on. If we can clean up the Earth by picking up some of its fixable pieces, we will be able to let fresh strength flow through our people.
