Skillet coming to Bulgaria was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events in the modern
Bulgarian rock community and it happened on the 30th of June at Universiada Hall in Sofia. It was a
dream come true for many fans, since this was their first ever performance in Bulgaria, and it
definitely lived up to the expectations.
Without a doubt, the energy Skillet gave off was the best thing in the whole concert. Their singing,
the way they interacted with the crowd and nonetheless the amazing hits they preformed were
unmatched. The band members even took their time to talk and take pictures with their fans after
everything was over. It is safe to say that everyone enjoyed the night and there were no accidents.
Although the event was executed perfectly, the only thing I wish was different is the duration of the
performance. It was not even an hour and a half, and this is not nearly enough to satisfy the fans
coming from all around the country. There were even foreign fans from nearby countries.
I would therefore suggest raising the ticket prices or selecting a better place to perform in order to
stimulate the band to stay for longer. I wouldn’t usually suggest such a solution, but in this case ticket
prices were way below the average, even though for other countries they are at a normal price, and
there was not enough space for everyone so the band may have felt undervalued, which should
never be the case if we want to see them again in our country.
