A brand-new year is coming in just more than a month. We are so close to bidding farewell to our past mistakes and negative thoughts behind. It’s that time to make things anew and renew ourselves to a better and brighter future. It’s the time of the year when we come into full retrospection and reevaluation of the choices, we made this year and start writing down our plans and goals for the days, weeks and months ahead. In the third book of Nephi chapter 18 verses fifteen, twenty-one and twenty-two, it was mentioned that we must pray always. To pray is easy but to pray always is something that a true disciple of Jesus Christ would do. Praying is the only way we can communicate with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ personally and doing it not only often but always will help us draw closer to Them. In those verses, I think that always does not only mean that every single moment in our lives but rather in every step that we take with our sincere and humble hearts, we must pray and talk to them always. Because that is how our lives will become more guided. That if we will be watchful in everything that we do, say, and think, and that if we always pray unto Him, we will have the strength to resist temptations and overcome Satan’s power. Heaven may seem far away, but it feels closer once we pray and that is one of the most comforting truths I have ever learned. It is the only way that we can access the powers of heaven. Each time we earnestly pray and think of Him, we will have the blessings, guidance, protection, support and comfort we need to face the difficult trials and challenges in life. I believe that as we strive to always (with our whole hearts) pray unto Heavenly Father, we will have a deeper appreciation on the conversations we are having with Him.
