Langenhoven High School Mathematics & Mathematical Literacy Department CLASS POLICY Written Work 1. Cover all scripts with paper and plastic. 2. Write the following information in the right hand corner of your script; Name and Surname. Grade and class number. Subject and educators name. 3. Class work and homework needs to have a heading and a date. 4. Leave one line open after each sum. 5. Draw a line at the end of each day’s work, write neatly and legibly. 6. HOMEWORK should be done every day to the best of your ability. 7. Use a black or blue pen for work and a green pen or pencil for marking of homework. 8. Only diagrams and sketches may be drawn in pencil. 9. Corrections must be done accurately. 10. When you were absent, it is your RESPOSIBILITY to complete the work you have missed. ONLY A DOCTERS CERTIFICATE will be accepted as a valid reason when a Term test, Assignment or Investigation were missed. If you fail to do so, you WILL get zero for that task. You have to make an arrangement with your educator as soon as you are back at school. Class tests are only interventions and will not be rescheduled to be written. CONDUCT 1. EVERY LEARNER HAS TO ABIDE BY THE CODE OF CONDUCT OF THE SCHOOL, AS WELL AS THE CLASS POLICY. 2. Be on time for the beginning of the period. (No late-coming) 3. Follow the instructions of the educator regarding entering the class room and taking out of books. 4. Do not touch and play with any of the teaching equipment, stay seated at your desk unless other instructions were given. 5. You have to obtain the teachers permission to leave the classroom. 6. PRACTICE RESPECT. If you have a question, put up your hand. The teacher will allow you to speak do not shout-out answers or comments. 7. Be prepared for the period. Bring your book, textbook and stationary to school everyday. NO BORROWING. 8. Basic Class rules apply. No eating or drinking in class, no talking when the teacher is teaching, no littering and no scratching or writing on any walls, tables, chairs, desks, windowsills, doors and windows. 9.
