Gingerbread House Contest and Show
Get ready to pre-heat the oven, pull out the cookie sheets and decorating tips, and enter
the Sights and Sounds of Brigham City Gingerbread House Contest and Show.
Gingerbread houses will be displayed at the Brigham City Christmas Village throughout
December.
Gingerbread houses should be delivered to the second floor of the Brigham City
Corporation building, 20 North Main, Brigham City on Monday, November 27, 2017
between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Gingerbread Houses may be entered in one of these categories:
Family: Parent/s and their children under the age of 18
Child: Individual child, age 8-17
Adult: Individual adult, age 18 and older
Rules
Gingerbread structures may be houses, train stations, barns, birdhouses, lighthouses,
bridges, ships, or other imaginative dwellings.
Gingerbread structures must be constructed mainly of gingerbread and icing.
Styrofoam and other support materials are not permitted.
Entries must be original, no gingerbread kits allowed.
All components of the display, except for the base, must be made of edible materials.
Edible materials include candy, nuts, cereal, cookies, crackers, pasta, and other food
items that do not include wrappers or sticks. Wrappers should be removed from candy
and other decorations.
Entries should be mounted on a plywood base. Plywood bases for entries can be
picked up from Brigham City Recreation at the Hervin Bunderson Center, 641 East 200
North, Brigham City between November 1 - November 22, 2017. Entries must fit on an
18" x 18" base and should not be taller than 24". No decorations should be placed on
the sides of the base.
Attach a 3"x5" card with the entrant's name, address, telephone number and E-mail
address on the underside of the base.
Entries must be constructed in 2016.
Entries will be judged on overall appearance (30 pts), originality/creativity (30 pts),
workmanship/technique (30 pts), difficulty (10 pts). Judging will be held on Tuesday,
November 27, 2017.

Entries will remain on display from November 28, 2017 - January 2, 2018.
Entries may be picked up on Monday, January 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Entries not
picked up by 5 p.m. will be discarded.
Please submit this registration form and pick up a plywood base for your gingerbread
house between November 1 - November 22, 2017 at Brigham City Recreation in the
Hervin Bunderson Center, 641 East 200 North, Brigham City.
