SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, launched its integrated aviation
training academy - SriLankan Aviation College, opening up a world of opportunities
for the aspirant youth to take their first step towards an exciting career in aviation.

Trainer [ACT]. Aircraft maintenance Basic course students have the opportunity to

state-of-the-art training facility consists of modern amenities and classrooms

Faculty of Aircraft Maintenance – Avionics
SriLankan Technical Training (STT) is amongst a handful of institutions in Asia which
has been granted European Air Safety Agency (EASA) Part 147 approval for Aircraft
Maintenance Training which is amongst the highest industrial standards.
Apart from being approved by EASA, the training institute is also approved by the
Aviation regulators of Sri Lanka (CAASL), Maldives (MCAA) and Pakistan (PCAA) to
conduct training in Avionics and Mechanical streams fulfilling the standards of
EASA Part 66.
These two faculties serve SriLankan Airlines and other airlines in the region as well
as individuals pursuing careers in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering. The
faculties, apart from theoretical expertise, also draw its strength from SriLankan
Engineering for its practical training (EASA 145 approved organization), the
maintenance arm of the national carrier which has set the benchmark in Aircraft
Maintenance for over three decades with its qualified and experienced staff using
state-of-the-art technology.
The courses offered by the faculties range from Aircraft Engineering training (B1.1
and B2) to Aircraft Maintenance specialized training courses including B1.1/B2
Basic courses, A320/A330 Type course, Engineering Quality Assurance, Aircraft
Structure, Non-Destructive Testing, EWIS, ETOPS, Fuel Tank Safety etc.

The IAA is currently rated in the top ten IATA training facilities in the world for
professional training in aviation. The product portfolio of IAA expands from
introductory level IATA Diplomas for Cargo, Cabin Crew, Travel and Tourism, soft

Consultancy
This Faculty offers Cabin Crew Training Programmes for professional
establishments, airlines and school leavers who are dreaming to enter the cabin
crew profession. The faculty consists of an experienced pool of instructors who
have been certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) and
International Air Transport Association (IATA). We are empowered and capable of
catering to any airline requirement by providing customized cabin crew training.

Goods Regulations
The faculty consists of an experienced pool of instructors who are certified by IATA
and the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL). The faculty has been the
leader in providing air cargo training in Sri Lanka recording a very high pass rate in
all programs offered.
Upon successful completion of our training programmes, participants acquire a
thorough knowledge on the latest and standard procedures which are used in the
air cargo industry. We offer Dangerous Goods Regulations training certified by
CAASL which provides participants with skills to accept, handle and process

Faculty of Airport Services
The faculty offers Airport Service Training Programmes to youth who wish to join
the aviation industry. The Foundation Course in Airport passenger handling is the
only training programme offered in Sri Lanka with hands-on experience at
Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). The courses are conducted by an
