To know the evolution of Mobile communication and cell concept to improve capacity of the system. 2. To know the fading mechanism and types of fading and effect of fading on Mobile communication. 3. To know the role of equalization in Mobile communication and to study different types of Equalizers and Diversity techniques. 4. To know the types of channel coding techniques, data transmission modes and services of GSM. 5. To know the types of channel coding techniques, data transmission modes and services of CDMA. Course Outcomes: On completion of the study of the subject a student should be able to: 1. Demonstrate knowledge on: cellular concepts like frequency reuse, fading, equalization, GSM, CDMA 2. To identify and test various electronic components. To use DSO and Function Generator for various measurements. To plot the characteristics of diode, transistor and FET. To design and implement different diode applications circuit. To design and implement feedback amplifier circuits. To study waveforms of different types of power Amplifier. Course Outcomes: At the end of the laboratory course the students are able to: 1. Understand the diode, transistor characteristics. 2. Verify different application circuits using diodes and implement them using hardware. 3. Verify different application circuits using transistors like switch, amplifier and implement them using hardware. 4. Design amplifiers like CE and implement it using hardware and also observe their frequency responses. 5. Remember the concepts of unipolar junction transistor and observe its characteristics. 6.
