A MANIFESTO TO BE DELIVERED BY MINAWARATU MEKANO Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is fit as a fiddle and it is with a great pleasure to stand here with you to share my advice. The Headmaster, Teaching Staff, Fellow students, I greet you all. I would like to become a Prefect as I see this is a great opportunity to contribute back to the school from which I have taken so much. I have the qualities required of Prefect as I am reliable, responsible and I am prepared to carry out duties to the best of my ability. I am confident that I can set a good example to all students in the School, as I am sensible matured and always follow the school rules and regulation, when I become the Girls Head Prefect. I will try to set a good example by having good and positive attitude. I will respect and be honest to everyone. I will ensure that I follow the school rules and tell the students to follow same. I will be there for any work that has to be done by the Prefect. I will be approachable to the students and to the teachers. I will also be a good communicator so that if the students have any problems, you can approach me. I will make sure that all the students are kind and helpful to each other and also make sure they are very discipline. I will complete my duties on time and get involved in regular school activities. I will be friendly and polite with my friends and teachers. I will try my possible to be approachable, kind and nice and make myself polite to teachers and my fellow friends. I will ensure that every Friday the school will have a Quiz Competition and the Class that wins will be rewarded. I will make sure that every Friday we will entertain ourselves in the school compound and we will have much fun. I will make sure Discipline will be the backbone of Answarudeen Islamic Basic. By applying for the position of Senior Prefect I hope to acquire responsibilities of the level which I have ever had, and so to constantly challenge myself to a higher level is what brings one true joy, which I am sure you all could agree. RASHIDATU ABDUL KARIM AS THE INCOMING, ASPIRING HEALTH PREFECT OF ANSWARUDEEN ISLAMIC BASIC The Head Master, Assistant Head Mistress, Teaching Staff, Outgoing Prefect, Colleague Students, consider myself to be much graced to be present before you all today, reading out my manifesto, “Health is wealth” and therefore issue relating to health must be dealt with serious attention. But you can’t have more attention to something if the ones in charge are not that serious enough. This is the reason why I deem myself worthy for this position. I tell you, I am more serious that you think in matters relating to health, I have been practicing Pharmaceutical Medicine at home, so matters relating to heath are no new thing to me. When I am voted into office, here are some of the things I will do to uplift the health status of this school. I will organize weekly cleanup with collaboration with compound overseers. I, together with the compound overseers will see to it that cleanup exercises are organized every Friday, and even there is a saying “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” so we keep our surroundings clean from filth, diseases like Cholera and the likes will be far from us. The Headmaster, Assistant Head Mistress, Teaching Staff, Outgoing Prefect, Colleague Students, I have a lot in a pack yet to be unveiled.
