1. COVID requirements for travel to Dubai: Before you book: Check if you need a visa(the link opens in a new window). Depending on your nationality you can get a visa on arrival, or you can apply for your prearranged visit visa(the link opens in a new window) from Dubai Immigration before you travel. Before you travel: All tourists and UAE residents can now travel to Dubai without GDRFA(the link opens in a new window) or ICA(the link opens in a new window) approval. Requirements for all passengers arriving in Dubai: From 26 February 2022, passengers travelling to Dubai from all countries (GCC included) must fulfil one of the below requirements: 1. Present a valid vaccination certificate(s) reflecting that the passenger is fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO or the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and includes a QR code. 2. Present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours after the sample was collected and issued by an approved health service provider with a QR code. 3. Present a valid medical certificate with a QR code issued by the relevant authorities that the passenger has recovered from COVID-19 within 1 month from the date of recovery to the date of arrival. Note: o Printed or digital PCR test certificates or vaccination certificates are accepted in English or Arabic and must include a QR code. SMS certificates are not accepted. o COVID-19 vaccination certificates without a QR code will be accepted for travel to Dubai as long as the vaccination certificate is issued by test centres/organisations recognised/approved by the national health authorities of the country. o COVID-19 PCR test or vaccination certificates in other languages are acceptable if they can be validated at the departure point. o PCR tests must be based on a molecular diagnostic test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid for SARS-COV-2 viral RNA. Rapid antigen, antibody or any form of rapid lateral flow tests and home test kits will not be accepted. o NHS COVID-19 test certificates for travel from the United Kingdom to Dubai will not be accepted. For transit passenger(s), the rules and conditions for entry at the final destination will apply. Indian Nationals with a normal passport who are travelling to or from India via Dubai can obtain a visa on arrival in Dubai for a maximum stay of 14 days provided they: o Have a visitor visa or a green card issued by the United States, or o A residence visa issued by the United Kingdom or European Union The visa issued by United States, United Kingdom or European Union has to be valid for a minimum of 6 months. COVID-19 vaccination and PCR certificate exemptions for UAE nationals: UAE nationals arriving from all countries to Dubai are not required to present any PCR or vaccination certificate. An exemption from this requirement is also extended to the below categories of passengers travelling to Dubai from all destinations: o First degree relatives of a UAE national travelling on the same flight o Domestic workers travelling with a UAE national sponsor COVID-19 PCR test and vaccination exemptions: o Children below 12 years old. o Passengers with moderate to severe disabilities: Moderate or severe disability includes neurological disorders and intellectual or developmental disabilities. For example: Acute spinal cord injury, Alzheimer's disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Ataxia, Autism spectrum, Bell's palsy, Brain tumours, Cerebral aneurysm, Cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy and seizures. All other passengers, including those who are visually impaired, hearing impaired or physically challenged must hold a negative COVID-19 RT PCR test certificate as per the requirements. Recommended COVID-19 testing facilities: The UAE government has specified designated laboratories in each of our current destinations(the link opens in a new window). You can either use the recommended laboratories in the list or any trusted and certified laboratories in your country of origin to get your COVID-19 RT PCR test. Certificate rules for India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Egypt: If you are flying from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh or Egypt, and you are required to present a COVID-19 certificate, the certificate must be from one of the labs listed in the designated laboratories(the link opens in a new window) document to be accepted on the flight. 2. COVID requirements for travel from Dubai: Passengers travelling from Dubai will need to undergo COVID-19 PCR testing only if it is required by the country you are travelling to. Please check the requirements of the country you are travelling to. The travel regulations change frequently. Check the list of authorised COVID-19 test laboratories in Dubai(the link opens in a new window) where you can get tested before you travel to your destination. Travel requirements for UAE Citizens: Effective immediately, under the UAE travel protocol for UAE Nationals 18 years old and above, they must meet one of the following requirements to travel out of Dubai: o Must have completed one (1) dose of an approved vaccine and a period of one month has not lapsed from the date of the vaccination and the date of travel; or o Must have competed two (2) doses of an approved vaccine; or o If not vaccinated, the passenger must present a valid negative Covid-19 PCR Test certificate that is issued within 48 hours from the time of sample collection and the time of boarding the aircraft. The COVID-19 PCR test certificate has to be issued from an approved health service provider and must contain a QR code. The following categories of UAE Nationals are exempted from the specified travel conditions provided they obtain an official letter from the relevant health authority in the UAE: o Individuals medically exempted from taking the vaccine o Humanitarian cases o Individuals travelling for medical and/or treatment purposes Any exception must be obtained by the individuals from the relevant authorities before arrival to airport or making travel arrangements. Special COVID-19 PCR test rates for Emirates passengers: Emirates has expanded its medical partnerships to offer all passengers exclusive home or office COVID-19 PCR testing rates at the following centres: Al Tadawi Medical Centre o Location: Al Masood building, Airport Road, Port Saeed area, Deira. o Test costs: AED 130 per person. Home or office testing within Dubai costs AED 240 per person. Test results will be available within 24 hours. Prime Medical Centres o Al Qusais Branch, Damascus Street o Premier Diagnostic and Medical Center, Salah Al Din Street o Prime Corp Medical Center, Salah Al Din Street, Deira o Sheikh Zayed Branch, Sheikh Zayed Street, near Noor Islamic Bank o Prime Specialist Medical Center Sharjah Branch, King Faisal St, Al Majaz o Ajman Branch, Grand Mall, Sheikh Khalifa St Test costs: AED 150 per person. Home or office testing within Dubai for a minimum of two passengers is also available at AED 240 per person. Test results will be available within 24 hours. Rules for travel to China: To be accepted for travel from Dubai to China, you are required to take a double COVID-19 PCR test and antibody blood IgM test before departure. You will also need to self-quarantine for 14 days before your flight’s scheduled departure. All passengers, except children below the age of 1, must report to the Dubai Airport Terminal 3, Car Park check in area between 1800 and 1900hrs (Dubai local time) to undergo an additional RT PCR test 8 hours before flight departure. Passengers must remain at the Car Park check in area to await the results. Once an SMS is received with a negative test result, please make sure to collect a printed copy of your RT PCR test certificate and proceed to the check in counter in the same area. Passengers must pay AED 150/ per test, per person. Please complete the requirements and follow the procedures for entry into China(the link opens in a new window) before you travel. 3. COVID requirements for travel to Belgium: Belgium is open for tourists. There are changes to travel eligibility and the COVID-19 testing and vaccination requirements. Please find the full details, exemptions and eligibility for travel to Belgium below. Travel eligibility: Citizens and residents of EU or Schengen Member State: All passengers 12 years old and above, except for passengers whose main residence is in Belgium, must present one of the following documents to be accepted for travel to Belgium: o A valid vaccination certificate that states the passenger has been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before travel o A recovery certificate o A negative COVID-19 test certificate - only PCR tests taken less than 72 hours or antigen tests taken less than 24 hours before departure will be accepted Citizens and residents of countries outside the EU/Schengen zone: Vaccinated passengers will be accepted for non-essential travel to Belgium provided they present a valid vaccination certificate that states they have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before travel. Unvaccinated passengers will be accepted for essential travel only, subject to certain conditions. Please refer to the official website(the link opens in a new window) for more information. All passengers 12 years old and above, except for passengers whose main residence is in Belgium, must present one of the following documents to be accepted for travel to Belgium: o A valid vaccination certificate that states the passenger has been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before travel o A recovery certificate o A negative COVID-19 test certificate - only PCR tests taken less than 72 hours or antigen tests taken less than 24 hours before departure will be accepted Children below 12 years who are travelling accompanied by an adult are exempt from the requirements. Passengers who have been in a high-risk country in the last 14 days will not be accepted for travel to Belgium except for essential reasons(the link opens in a new window). Only vaccinated passengers who are not citizens or residents of an EU or Schengen member state, or whose main residence is on the white list(the link opens in a new window) will be accepted for essential travel to Belgium. Travel from the UAE to Belgium: Belgian residents travelling from the UAE are not required to present a vaccine certificate, take a pre-departure COVID-19 test, or undergo quarantine. Passengers travelling from the UAE who are Non-Belgium residents must present one of the following documents: o Vaccination certificate o COVID-19 PCR test certificate for a test taken 72 hours before departure or a rapid antigen test taken not more than 24 hours before arrival o Recovery certificate COVID-19 testing requirements: Passengers who are presenting a COVID-19 test certificate for travel to Belgium must take a PCR test not more than 72 hours before departure or rapid antigen test (RAT) not more than 24 hours before departure. Vaccination requirements: A vaccination certificate proves that you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You are fully vaccinated 2 weeks after your last vaccination dose and if the vaccine is EMA-certified or Covishield(the link opens in a new window). Vaccination certificates from non-EU countries(the link opens in a new window) will also be accepted in Belgium under certain conditions, pending their equivalence agreement with the EU. The vaccination certificate (stating complete vaccination - 1/1 dose for Johnson&Johnson, 2/2 doses for Moderna, Pfizer and AstraZeneca) is valid for 270 days (9 months). For passengers who have received a booster dose, their vaccination certificate will remain valid indefinitely. Required documents: Passenger Locator Form: All passengers travelling to and through Belgium from a third country outside the white list(the link opens in a new window) must complete an e-PLF(the link opens in a new window) as early as 180 days before their scheduled departure regardless of their nationality, and present the QR code receipt at check in. Other information: There are three types of certificates accepted for travel to Belgium: o A vaccination certificate proves that you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. For one-dose vaccines, the certificate will be considered valid if two weeks have passed since the vaccine was administered. The vaccine must be EMA-certified or Covishield. From 1 September, vaccination certificates from non-EU countries(the link opens in a new window) will also be accepted in Belgium under certain conditions. o A recovery certificate shows that you have recovered from COVID-19. This certificate is considered valid from 11 to 180 days after the positive test. From 1 March, the recovery certificate will expire after 150 days, instead of 180 days. o A COVID-19 test certificate is proof that you have taken a PCR test not more than 72 hours or an RAT not more than 24 hours before departure and the result is negative.
