Cell City Analogy

Name:
Cell City Analogy
In a faraway city called Grant City, the main export and production product is the steel
widget. Everyone in the town has something to do with steel widget making; the entire
town is designed to build and export widgets. The town hall has the instructions for widget
making, widgets come in all shapes and sizes, and any citizen of Grant can get the
instructions and begin making their own widgets. Widgets are generally produced in small
shops around the city. These widgets are often stored in the warehouse until they are
needed or ready to be shipped out. While making these widgets, the waste and trash are
removed by the town’s janitorial staff, who do a phenomenal job!
The town powers the widget shops from a hydraulic dam that is in the city. There
are also solar panels on the roof at the Central Cafeteria to provide energy to cook food
for the employees. Everything is connected by roads and the postal service packages
and ships the widgets when completed. The entire city is enclosed by a large wooden
fence, only those with the proper passport are allowed outside the city.
After reading the passage above, match the parts of the city with the parts of the cell
