Transitions are words and
phrases that connect one
idea to another.
They help us to bridge our
ideas to the readers.
Without a clear transition,
writing becomes choppy
and does not show the
relationship between
sentences in paragraphs.
When writing an essay the
connection between your
idea is clear in your head.
But that connection may not
be as clear for the readers
To help readers better
understand how your ideas
relate to each other.
So you need transition
words.
This connection in writing is
named cohesion.
In some of our communities,
driving is already chaotic.
But imagen what driving
would be like if there were
no signs or signals to
provide directions to help
drivers to navigate the
roads.
To prevent your writing from
appearing chaotic to your
readers that is why we use
transitions.
It's a lovely day. Actually, I'm
planning to go to the park this
Saturday.
It's going to rain all day.
In fact, the relation between this
ideas is ambigous.
In this case, I could say
I wanted to go to the park, but it is
supposed to rain all day .

sentences.
