than their own weight.
Hercules beetle eats rotten plants, such as decaying wood,
fallen leaves and fruits. Sometimes, they consume other insects.
Males are
really
aggressive
toward each
other when
they are
fighting for
the attention
of females.
Whole lifecycle of
the Hercules beetle
lasts between 11 and
16 months.
