Lesson Plan in Analog Multimeter Parts and Functions Grade 8 November 14, 2022 Subject: Electrical Installation Maintenance Date: November 14, 2022 PROCEDURES A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson (Review) B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson (Presentation of ObjectivesThrough Oral Reading) Section: Grade 8 Time: 12:30pm – 2:30pm Students will be asked: What is the Different parts of Multi meter What is the function/ purpose of its parts? Briefly discuss the following: 1. Determine the system of measurements English and Metric system. 2. Convert measurements form one unit to another English and metric, from English to Metric system viceversa. 3. Recognize the importance of converting English and Metric System and vice-versa. C. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson (Motivation) D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1 (Presentation of the lesson) System of measurements A system of measurements is a set of units which can be used to specify anything that can be measured These are common units of measurements used in making layout and installation of electrical materials. Linear Measures 1. English System The English System of measurements provides the creative way on how people can measure by themselves. For example, people measure shorter distance on the ground with their feet. Inch Foot Yard Miles 2. Metric System is a decimal system of measurements. It exists in several variations with different choices of based units. Metric units are widely used around the world Millimeter Centimeter Decimeter Meter English units and each equivalent 12 inches = 1 foot (ft) 3 feet = 1 yard (yd) 1 yard = 36 inches Metric units and each equivalent 10 millimeter (mm) = 1 centimeter (cm) 10 centimeter = 1 decimeter (dm) 10 decimeter = 1 meter (m) English to metric equivalent 1 inch = 2.54 cm 1 foot = 30.48 cm 1 yard =91.44 cm GROUP WORK (Group presentations will be evaluated by the other group) E. Developing Mastery/Leads to Formative Assessment (Elaboration of topic by the teacher) Activity: Direction: Convert the fallowing metric system and English system. 1. 465m to km =_________ 2. 0.27 m to mm =________ 3. 3.56 m to km =_____ 4. 58.1 km to mm =______ 5. 6286 cm to km =________ 1. 3 yards = ______ inches 2. 21c 00 km = ______ miles 1. 10 mi to km 2. 14 yd to m F. Generalizing and abstractions about the lesson (Generalization) G. Evaluating Learning (Evaluation) WORD HUNT Directions: Find the words may be spelled vertically and horizontally. H. Additional Activities for Application or Remediation (Enrichment Activity/Assignment) Agreement/Assignment: Assignment: Study in advance about reading meter scale of the multi-tester. REMARKS Reflection: No. of learners who earned 80% on the formative assessment. _________ No. of learners who require additional activities for remediation. _________ Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson. __________ No. of learners who continue to require remediation_____________. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why this work?
