QUESTION 1: Why is the church’s mission patterned on Jesus mission?
The main mission of Jesus on the Earth was to save the lost and introduced to us the salvation
and good news. So, Jesus convinced that He was able to fulfill his mission because God anointed
Him with the Holy Spirit. As a body of Christ, He was our role model.
QUESTION 2: Theologians mention several themes to characterize Jesus’ ministry like liberating, hopebearing and inclusive. What do you think is the importance of these themes to everyday life?
Jesus emphasized that love should be practiced not only in a person’s relationship with fellow
Christians and with Jesus Himself, but also in sharing love with non-believers. Another, Jesus
emphasized the importance of putting one’s faith into action by doing well and living according
to one’s faith. This is a fundamental tenet of Christianity.
