ACTIVITIES
A. Motivation
a. Play a mime game as a warmer. Give out slips of paper
with the name of a job related to their track. Students
should mime the job, and the others have to guess what it
is.
b. Ask students what the steps are in finding a job. Introduce
the terms: interview, resume, classified ads and cover
letter.
B. Presentation / Discussion:
a. Show onscreen some of the sites that feature job
advertisements like ayosdito.ph, Bestjobs.ph,
Jobrapido.com, Jobstreet.com.ph etc.
b. Ask the students to illustrate the job application process
on page 76 of the book and let them share it to the class.
c. Discuss via powerpoint presentation the pre-employment
documents and common questions asked during job
interview.
C. Assessment
Group activity: Work in pair and prepare a list of 10
interview questions that you may ask your partner.
Switch roles once finish asking questions on the list.
D. Assignment
Do page 77 on the book. Create your own online resume.
