Antigone
● Daughter of Oedipus, Antigone in this tragedy attempts to secure a respectable burial for
her brother Polynices.
● Antigone is brought before King Creon, who has ascended to the throne of Thebes after
the death of the brothers.
● Creon orders Antigone buried alive in a tomb, change his heart but finds she has hanged
herself.
● Creon has been destroyed by end of the story, this play was wrote by Sophocles
