ABSTRACT
Education has a crucial influence on a country's economic prosperity. In Indonesia, education is
always centered on marks, grades, and statistics. In reality, though, practical knowledge, deep
thinking, and some experience are essential to staying in the race. The conventional education
system is still used in schools and even universities, even though the fact that it is been shown to
be ineffective for many years. Because classroom education is evolving and students are
becoming more technology-oriented, we must consider the latest technologies to include in the
teaching and learning process in this changing environment. Because of technological
advancements, it is now feasible to demonstrate studies utilizing presentation and animation; it is
now much easier to see things. Cloud Computing is one of the most recent technologies in use
today. The educational institution may outsource non-core functions and focus more on providing
students, instructors, faculty, and staff with the tools they need to thrive by sharing IT services in
the cloud. We can create an excellent education system and improve its quality by utilizing cloud
computing.
INTRODUCTION:
The education system revolves mostly around books, tests, grades, and marks, while creative
learning is a long way off. Teachers/Dosen educate within the curriculum, pupils study within
that portion of the syllabus, examinations are given, and it's all done! Change, on the other hand,
happens as a result of innovative and deeper thought. That can only happen if you take your
studies seriously but not your tests. So, how do you make it better? In this case, technology
might be the most important factor. Nowadays, the situation has changed; many schools and
universities have internet access, and professors utilize power-point presentations to teach, which
makes it easier to grasp.
In this case, cloud computing might be a lifesaver. We can access any file, document, or even
video with Cloud Computing from anywhere on the planet. As a result, it assists in providing
basic classes to pupils who cannot pay for them. Cloud computing allows us to provide
individuals with a simple and innovative learning experience while also educating the country,
which is why this new technology is currently employed all over the world.
Cloud computing refers to a distributed network of computer resources that may be accessed
from virtually anywhere. Thus, by utilizing cloud computing technology, we can overcome all of
these shortfalls and maintain a centralized system in which all authorities can examine the
education system from all angles and continue to monitor and lead it. They not only assess the
needs of the institutions, but also guarantee that each student receives a high-quality education
and that his or her attendance, class performance, and other academic activities may be properly
managed without having to worry about infrastructure.
Students, teachers/dozen, instructors, parents, and staff have on-demand access to important
information using any device from anywhere thanks to the cloud. Both public and private
organizations may benefit from cloud computing, even if they have limited resources.
Blackboard
We can give the greatest service to our Chinese clients while lowering our total continuing
solution expenses by partnering with Alibaba Cloud. We've also been pleased with the technical
assistance and market knowledge supplied by the local staff."
About Blackboard
Blackboard is a prominent EdTech firm with over 150 million users across 80+ countries in
higher education, K-12, corporate, and government.
Blackboard is a virtual learning environment and learning management system that comes with
course administration, a configurable open architecture, and a scalable design that enables
integration with student information systems and authentication protocols. It may be deployed
locally or as a software as a service (SaaS).
Challenge
In China, Blackboard has a mix of higher education and corporate clients, as well as a handful of
worldwide clients headquartered in the country. To give the finest service to their customers and
a fantastic experience to the platform's end users, Blackboard needs to be able to operate and
administer the Blackboard platform on a highly scalable and robust infrastructure in mainland
China with fast global network access.
Why should you choose Alibaba Cloud? Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Elastic Compute
Service, Relational Database Service, VPC, DNS, Direct Mail, and Shared Bandwidth is among
the Alibaba Cloud products and solutions that help Blackboard achieve maximum performance.
Architecture
Blackboard can now provide better user experiences to Chinese clients that need to access
learning content stored throughout the world thanks to Alibaba Cloud's global network solutions.
In China, the platform provides students with relevant learning experiences as well as robust
local assistance. By utilizing shared bandwidth, network traffic costs are decreased without
affecting network quality, resulting in a better client and company experience.
Looking Forward
To manage its clients, Blackboard wil continue to use Alibaba Cloud to host its platform. They'll
also collaborate with their worldwide team to provide network acceleration solutions based on
Alibaba Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) and Global Accelerator (GA) to help their clients' endusers in China have better experiences.
case study
In this chapter, we present a new Supply Chain Business Model for the Education sector and show
how Education as a Service (EaaS) might be supplied. The University of Greenwich (UoG)
implementation is presented as a case study. The segmentation of cloud computing business
models into eight Business Models is critical to the development of EaaS. The Hexagon Models
are used to evaluate Cloud projects against success criteria; one focuses on business models, while
the other on IT services. The case study at the University of Glasgow highlights the added benefit
of Supply Chain software installed via the private Cloud, where an Oracle suite and SAP supply
chain may be used to showcase supply chain distribution and is beneficial for teaching. Students
are more motivated and have a better understanding of their subject, according to the evaluation.
