British Romantic Poetry Magazine
For this assignment, your group will be required to research, create a magazine*, and teach a
specific British poet and three of his or her poems. Before beginning the assignment, read and
analyze each poem on your own. Then ensure that your group sets goals, deadlines, and establishes
roles so that the work is equally distributed. Your magazine should include the following:
1. A cover that reflects the tenets of romanticism, the name of the poet, and an appropriate subtitle.
2. A Table of Contents
3. A one-page biography of the poet highlighting key and interesting facts. Arrange all of your
information in a thoughtful, visually pleasing way. Cite all sources.
4. At least one page per poem containing an in-depth analysis and appropriate images. Be sure
to identify three literary or poetic devices (figurative language, diction, imagery, etc.) and explain
their purpose in the poem. Discuss how the poems display Romantic characteristics**. Cite all
sources.
