“Annabel Lee” BY EDGAR ALLAN POE GUTIERREZ, ROJAY Z. BSEE-3 Summary: The poem is about a young love cut short by tragedy which tells about a story of the speaker and Annabel lee. According to the narrator Annabel lee have only taught about the love they shared, and even though they are both young their love have been more truly as what love can be. As such their love have been coveted by the angels which sent down a wind that blows and killed her lover Annabel lee, which cause to have their family to take her away from him. Then ending the poem as the narrator reminisced of how their love was stronger by far than the love of those who were older than them, as he lay down beside the tomb of his beloved surrounded by the sea, while the moon beams brings about dreams about her beloved Annabel.
