My M1 academic year was not the best at all. I do feel I could have learned to study better and e ciently. I de nitely have higher capabilities to perform better than I did on the exams and I am thankful for the new year and this new energy, that hopefully I can hit the ground running and start out strong. I kept changing study techniques throughout the year, and maybe it was important to nd one that works and stick to it. I think I did a decent job of taking care of myself. I do feel I should have exercised more. I didn’t go to the gym during exam weeks and perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to work out and then not work out and then work out again. I do feel the most challenging experience was keeping all the information together. It was important to learn and then memorize. Sometimes I got too caught up memorizing that I could not remember it later. If I used the memorize strategy, it didn’t work the best because I would not be able to go over it as much because I may not come back to it in time. I think mostly everything needs extra attention. It is important to review it from time to time and I don’t think my grades accurately re ect the info I learned. Some questions are confusing sometimes and sometimes I memorize things for the exam that I get correct but I do not remember anymore. I think it will be important to pick on study strategy, stick to it, and hopefully everything goes well. This is a big year and maybe better grades and smart learning can translate into passing boards, and more con dence. fi fi fi fl fi fi fi ffi fi I think the next steps are to approach topics with more caution and discipline. It is important to keep reviewing over and over again. I should exercise more and keep a good schedule that lets me exercise during exam weeks. I need to tell my future self to remain con dent, that the previous grades don’t de ne you and keep working hard so they can de ne you. That may be the best strategy to get your con dence back.
