Project Title: Project WRITE (Workshop and Refreshers as Interventions Towards
Enhancement on Campus Journalism)
Problem Statement: There has been an evident decline when it comes to the number of
applications received by the school publication for the editorial board and staff of
The Voice, the official student publication of Colon National High School, for the
school year 2022-2023. This is attributed to the lower level of journalism skills of
the campus journalists because they haven’t been exposed to trainings and activities
because of the pandemic. Thus, there is a need to conduct activities and workshops
related to campus journalism in the school level to reawaken their interest and to
enhanced their skills in campus journalism.
Project Objective Statement: To provide aspiring campus journalists with an avenue and
opportunity to enhance and show their skills in campus journalism
Root Cause: An analysis revealed that the root cause of this problem is there were no activities
on campus journalism during the pandemic.
