Questionnaire about customers’ needs and preferences about opening a new thematic park in the city Compiled by: Sydykova Umut NEPTUN code: WIBUJI Abstract A questionnaire is a research instrument that consists of a set of questions or other types of prompts that aims to collect information from a respondent. A research questionnaire is typically a mix of close-ended questions and open-ended questions. Open-ended, long-form questions offer the respondent the ability to elaborate on their thoughts. Research questionnaires were developed in 1838 by the Statistical Society of London. The data collected from a data collection questionnaire can be both qualitative as well as quantitative in nature. A questionnaire may or may not be delivered in the form of a survey, but a survey always consists of a questionnaire. General overview For my questionnaire, I chose online method of survey. As far as I am concerned, online surveys are a great way to contact a wide audience in several geographic settings and of various age ranges. Online surveys are an increasingly popular method because of their flexibility in content and reach. Since many people have access to the internet on their phones, researchers can reach people throughout the day and from any location. This makes contacting respondents easier while allowing them to decide when and where to take the survey. Moreover, people will answer sensitive questions honestly because we can set online surveys to ‘Anonymous’ mode or encrypt the fields with passcodes. My target group is young people and young families 20 to 45 years of age who are entrepreneurial-minded, family oriented, adventurous, enjoy an active lifestyle, desire an opportunity to contribute to economic growth of a city. 1 1.
