Notice hereby referring to 2016/NTI/04 on the appointment of the Workplace Safety and Health
Officer (hereinafter referred to WHS Officer) in a workplace as required by the Workplace Safety
and Health Order, 2009 (S 44/2009) and the (Workplace Safety and Health Officers) Regulations,
2014(S36/2014).
Kindly note that all WSH Officers are required to successfully complete the NEBOSH International
General Certificate as a minimum and have at least two years relevant practical work experience.
Should the WHS Officer leave his place of employment, the employer of the WSH Officer shall
inform SHENA and reappoint a WHS Officer. SHENA maintains a register of such appointments.
