INTRODUCTION
This document is meant for helping you get started with Nemo Analyze Snapshot. For more detailed
information on Nemo Analyze Snapshot and its usage, see Nemo Analyze Enterprise Database Server
Administration Guide or QlikView Server Reference Manual included in the shipment.
NEMO ANALYZE SNAPSHOT
Nemo Analyze Snapshot, powered by QlikView™, enables reporting, optimization, and troubleshooting
instantly over vast datasets. No client-side SW installation is needed since user accesses the data via web
browser. Analyze Snapshot utilizes data pre-aggregation and in-memory analytics engine to ensure that
the results of large scale measurements are available swiftly. Nemo Analyze Snapshot provides corporatewide access to drive test data and other post-processing routines – from essential KPI dashboards and
service level metrics for senior management to optimization and troubleshooting views for network
planners.
Nemo Analyze Snapshot´s intuitive user interface provides rich data illustration possibilities on a standard
web browser and includes predefined dashboard, optimization, and reporting views. The views come with
dynamic charts and tables, visual KPIs and measurement route presentation on Google live maps.
A set of predefined views is available categorized as follows:
Dashboard views show summary of the most important KPIs in compact format to provide overall
view/status of the network per project or other relevant data selection.
Optimization views contain wider set of parameters to examine with more filtering options. Optimization
views include predefined views for the most important optimization routines such as coverage/cell footprint
analysis, missing neighbor analysis, and call/data failure analysis.
Associative data model and “the power of gray”. Data to be analyzed can be selected and narrowed
down from list boxes displaying dimensions, such as system or time, by selecting an area on a map or
chart, or simply by clicking any data point in any chart. Unlike traditional business intelligence tools, no
queries are fired when a user clicks on a data point in a field. Instead, all the other fields instantaneously
filter themselves based on the selection the user has made.

Nemo Analyze Snapshot architecture
Nemo Analyze Snapshot architecture consists of Nemo Analyze Database Server and QlikView Server.
Nemo Analyze Database Server loads and stores raw measurement data. The server can load data
automatically from a network folder in Windows file system and/or from (S)FTP server. It also preprocesses
data for the QlikView Server. Nemo Analyze Snapshot uses the same database server as Nemo Analyze
Enterprise. When Nemo Analyze Enterprise and Snapshot are co-deployed, the same database server is
used as the back end of the QlikView Server and Nemo Analyze Clients, providing direct access to
message-level data via Analyze Client.
QlikView Server (QVS) contains an in-memory analytics engine that holds the preprocessed data and
populates the documents that are published on the server. All data of a published document is located on
the server memory in a highly compressed format. Together with the pre-aggregation of the data, this
enables instant data processing over large datasets.
QVS also includes a web server providing front end access to the documents within. The web server’s user
portal is known as AccessPoint. It is important to note that while QVS contains its own web server, one can
also utilize Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Server) for this purpose. The QVS includes a management
environment, known as the QlikView Management Console, for providing administrator access to control all
aspects of the server deployments including security, clustering, distribution etc. The QVS handles client
authorization against existing directory providers, e.g. Microsoft Active Directory and eDirectory, and also
performs read and write to ACLs (access control lists) for published documents.
QLIKVIEW DOCUMENTS (.QVW)
QlikView documents (.qvw) define the data to be downloaded from the Nemo Analyze database to the
QlikView Server´s data structure, and how the database is organized into a data structure. The documents
also define the user interface of the web interface, i.e. what graphs, maps, etc. exist. Multiple documents
are available for different purposes; e.g. for mobile data and scanner data, in-depth optimization and
dashboard-type overview of the data. All necessary documents are included in Nemo Analyze Snapshot. In
addition, users are able to define and build their own user interface documents.
In Nemo Analyze Snapshot, documents can be divided roughly into two categories:
 Those which handle downloading data from the Nemo Analyze database into the QlikView
Server´s data structure. These documents define the SQL queries used to retrieve data from
the Nemo Analyze database, and the structure of the processed data. Preprocessed data
retrieved from Analyze Database Server is saved in .qvd files (see next chapter) on QlikView
Server.
 Those which define the user interface, i.e. the website in which the results can be analyzed,
the layout or the user interface, how many sheets it contains, and which graphs and maps are
shown. There are various different types of documents, including optimization, dashboard, and
benchmarking, for different uses. One document implements one multi-tab web page. Each
document´s user access and security is handled separately. For example, in-depth documents
can be published for engineers, while dashboards can be published for management.
QlikView data files (.qvd)
Data loaded from Nemo Analyze database via SQL queries is stored in binned, highly compressed format
in .qvd files. The .qvw documents, which define the user interface, read the data from .qvd files. Therefore,
.qvd files are an intermediate storage of aggregated/binned data between the raw data in the Nemo
Analyze database and the in-memory analytics data model of the .qvw documents. User interface
documents can be refreshed from the .qvd files in minutes, depending on the total amount of data.

By default, the server communicates with clients via ports 12000-12003. Therefore, these ports must
be open in the firewall(s). The server can also be configured to use other ports.
Installing QlikView Server
The main steps of installing the QlikView Server are described below. For more details, see QlikView
Server Reference Manual chapter 5.
1. Run the QVS server setup and follow the installation wizard. Select Full installation in the wizard
dialog below.
Fill in the account information (see images below). The Windows account specified here will be used
to run the QlikView Server services.

After completing the installation, make sure that the firewalls are not blocking the access to the server
from clients. By default, Windows Firewall in Windows Server 2008 blocks the connection. QVS
services must be configured non-blocked in the firewall or Windows Firewall must be disabled.
Network connection to QlikView Web Server
For QlikView Web Server, the following ports must be open in the firewall: HTTP: 80; HTTP: 4750;
SNMP: 4751.

Manual chapters 10.1 and 10.5.

CONFIGURING QVS
After installing the QlikView Server you are able to access the QlikView Management Console by selecting
Start | All Programs | QlikView | QlikView Management Console. In the Management Console you are
able to perform administrator tasks such as publishing documents, granting access to users for documents,
configuring the data structure and UI document reload schedule, etc.
Allocating license to QlikView Server
After installing the Qlikview Server, a license for the server must be allocated before it can be used.
The license contains the server license and the number of Client Access Licenses (CALs). The license
consists of a serial number and a five-digit control number. Both numbers must be typed in the
QlikView Management Console on the server as shown in the image below. The license is received
from Anite Finland Ltd.

Allocating licenses to users
To connect to a QlikView Server (QVS), each client needs a Client Access License (CAL). The CALs
are purchased with the QlikView Server and tied to the server serial number. A CAL is never
transferred to a client, but a client uses the CAL when connecting to the server or, if a cluster license
is used, a specific QlikView Server cluster. CALs cannot be transferred between different QlikView
Server clusters. If a user is required to work with documents residing in different clusters, a separate
CAL is needed for each of the clusters.
The CALs described below are used to provide users access to the various QlikView Servers:

Description
A Named User CAL is assigned to a unique and
identified user for information on how users are
identified) who may access as many QlikView
documents as may reside on the server or server
cluster to which the Named User CAL is assigned. A
Named User CAL may be transferred to another user
pursuant to the software licensing agreement, in
which case there is a 24-hour quarantine before the
Named User CAL can be transferred to another user.
There is no time limit for how long a user assigned a
Named User CAL can access a QlikView document.
A Document CAL is assigned to a unique and
identified user for information on how users are
identified) who may access only the one QlikView
document to which the Document CAL is assigned.
Multiple Document CALs can be assigned to a
particular user. For example, if a user connects to
two QlikView documents, the user will have been
assigned two Document CALs. A Document CAL
may be transferred to another user pursuant to the
software licensing agreement, in which case there is
a 24-hour quarantine before the Document CAL can
be transferred to another user. There is no time limit
for how long a user assigned a Document CAL can
access the QlikView document to which the CAL is
assigned.
A Session CAL allows any user, identified or
anonymous/unidentified, on one QlikView client to
access as many QlikView documents as may reside
on the server or server cluster to which the Session
CAL is assigned for a minimum period of 15 minutes.
For Session CALs, the QlikView client refers to each
unique instance of the QlikView client (for example,
the AJAX client, QlikView Desktop, or the Internet
Explorer plugin) on the user’s machine. The
minimum session time for a Session CAL is 15
minutes, which means that sessions that end in less
than 15 minutes will still consume the session until
the 15 minute mark is passed; those which terminate
after 15 minutes will consume their actual session
length. By default, there is no maximum session
length, but this can be configured.

Allocating Document CAL to users
Before allocating licenses, Directory Service connector must be defined as in the images below under
System | Setup | Directory service connector in the Management Console.
Next, document CALs can be assigned for users in Management Console under Users.

Publishing documents on the server
The default location for QlikView documents to be published on the server is: %ProgramData%\
\QlikTech\Documents. Documents placed in this folder can be accessed by the end user via web
browser through AccessPoint, provided that access is allowed in security and access control settings.
In addition to the default path, other folder locations can be mounted as document sources. Nemo
Analyze Snapshot UI documents are by default located in the following folder: <Snapshot
path>\Nemo Analyze Snapshot\UI. The documents are also published from this folder.
 Note that only UI documents have to be published for the end users. Data loading
documents are not to be published; they are meant for refreshing the data structure in the
background.
Security and access control
Security and access control for documents are defined in QlikView Management Console under
Documents. Select Snapshot | Snapshot | UI and click on a document in the tree view. Click the
Authorization pane to manage user and group access settings for the current document. Finally,
select Apply.
QVS supports authorization via active directory and other common methods in Windows environment.
See QlikView Server Reference Manual for further details.
Changing document default path
To change the default path for documents, go to QlikView Management Console | System |
OlikView Servers, select the server, click the Folders pane and set a new default path.

Folders
The folder structure in <Snapshot path>\Nemo Analyze Snapshot is as follows:





Data
Contains the .qvd files containing the preprocessed data loaded from the Nemo Analyze
database.
Load
Contains the .qvw files that load UE data from the Nemo Analyze database and save the
data as .qvd files.
LoadScanner
Contains the .qvw files that load scanner data from the Nemo Analyze database and save
the data as .qvd files.
Settings
This folder contains Colorlegend.txt and Loadsettings.txt files.
 Colorlegend.txt is a tab-delimited CSV file that allows you to define color legend.
Editing is recommended to be done with MS Excel.
 Loadsettings.txt file contains settings regarding downloading data from the
Analyze database.
UI
This folder contains the .qvw files in which web user interface is defined.
Configuring document reload schedule
You are able to define in the Management Console how often a specific document is reloaded into the
server. Loading is defined in a way that when new measurement files are loaded into the Nemo
Analyze Server database, the data from the new files is automatically updated also to the QVS data
structure and to the UI documents.
Go to QlikView Management Console | Documents | Snapshot | Snapshot 0.90 | UI, click on a
.qvw file and click the Reload pane. Ensure that reload is enabled and then configure the frequency of
the reload. If you set the reload schedule, e.g., to “continuously”, the data loading documents are
continuously checking for new available data in the Nemo Analyze database and load the new data
into the QlikView Server and incrementally update the .qvd files. The documents defining the user
interface are set to reload starting from the moment that the data download document is successfully
run. Data on the updated .qvd file will be published also in the UI. Click Apply. You will now see a
clock icon over the application. To reload immediately, select Reload Now.

Configuring color legend
Color legends for parameters displayed on map plots are defined in <Snapshot path>\Nemo Analyze
Snapshot\colorlegend.txt file. The file is a TAB-separated column format text file. Color legend is modified
by editing this file. The next time that the UI document is refreshed on the server the new color legend is
applied. Modification can be done with text editor, or most conveniently by using MS Excel. When opening
the file in Excel, select settings as in the picture below in the Excel Text Import Wizard:
Every value range and color combination of each parameter is defined in a separate row in the file. The
table below lists the columns and their definitions:

End-user access to Nemo Analyze Snapshot
The end user accesses Nemo Analyze Snapshot via web browser through QlikView AccessPoint.
QlikView AccessPoint is a web portal that lists the documents each user has access to. It enables creating
a single point of access for users to all QlikView documents.
The QlikView AccessPoint is located at <Qlikview server address>/qlikview/index.htm.

Access to user documents is controlled by the QlikView Server. To define document access settings, go
to QlikView Management Console | System | Setup | QlikView Web Server, select a server and
click AccessPoint to open the Accespoints Settings view.
DATA STRUCTURE
Data in .qvd files is available for the user interface documents in a flat table, meaning that there is one
table that holds the data for all metrics (EC/N0, RSCP, Call attempt, etc.). The table below shows a list of
the most important columns common to all rows in the UE data structure. Scanner columns are otherwise
the same except that there are no such columns as “Scambling code best”, “Channel number best”, etc.
Numeric data (e.g. Rx level, RSCP, Tx power) is aggregated in the data structure. Data is grouped by
dimensions and for each unique combination of dimensions aggregates such as average, min, and max
are reported. Aggregate columns are as follows: average, valley, peak, median, and weight. The rest of the
columns are dimensions. Geographically data is binned by default to 10x10m bins, denoted by latitude and
longitude dimension columns. In addition to the dimension columns in the data structure, custom
dimensions can be created on the fly in the UI document using expressions. For example, the log file name
can be split into multiple dimensions if a given, fixed naming convention exists for the log files.
Event type data (e.g. call attempt, call dropped, etc) is not aggregated. Every distinct event exists as a
separate row in the data structure. The same dimensions exist for the even type data as for the numeric
data. Aggregate columns (average, valley, peak, etc) all have value 1 for event type data.
In addition to columns listed below there are also columns that are only relevant to a given parameter.
Event type parameters typically have additional columns describing the event in more detail. For example,
there are columns that are only relevant to Call attempt, e.g. A-party number, B-party number, and call
type. When viewing other parameters these columns are left blank.

In Nemo Analyze Snapshot data to be analyzed can be selected and narrowed down from list boxes
displaying dimensions such as system or time (Year/Month/Day), by selecting area on a map or chart,
or simply by clicking any data point in any chart. Unlike traditional business intelligence tools, no queries
are fired when the user clicks on a data point in a field. Instead, all the other fields instantaneously filter
themselves based on the selections that the user has made. The selections are highlighted in green.
The datasets related to the user’s selection are highlighted in white, while unrelated data is highlighted
in gray. When users look at two different data points, they know precisely how the points relate to each
other. For example, when clicking on certain channel number user sees immediately from which
scrambling codes there are results for the selected channel (white), and for which there is no results
(gray). When narrowing down the data filter it can be seen at the same time how the rest of the data in
the dataset responds. All aggregates are recalculated in real time, regardless of the source fields. All
associations are stored generically against the entire dataset, ready to answer any optimization
question as it comes up without requiring time-consuming data model customization.

The Current Selections box is a sheet object that shows selections in the fields and their logical status.
To clear all the current selections in the active sheet object, select Clear all selections.

TOOLBAR
The toolbar on the web browser window contains the following icons:
Applies the start selection of the QlikView document. This
command can also be invoked by the following keyboard
shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+D.
Moves one step back in the list of selections.
Moves one step forward in the list of selections, provided that
you have previously used the Back button.
Undoes the last layout action.
Redoes the latest undone layout action.
Locks all the selected cells. This command can also be invoked
by the following keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+L.
Unlocks all the locked cells. This command can also be invoked
by the following keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+U.
Opens the current selections window. This command can also
be invoked by the following keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Q.
Opens the Quick Chart Wizard where you can create charts
with basic settings.
Opens the Repository dialog.
Opens the Create New Object dialog where you can choose an
object to drag to the sheet.
Opens the Fields dialog.
Opens the Add Bookmark dialog. In order to access a shared
bookmark, it has to be added from the Repository. From
the Repository, select Edit and check Show in my
favorites.
Opens a list of all bookmarks in the document. Select a
bookmark to delete it.
The drop-down contains a list of all bookmarks in the document.
The drop-down contains a list of all reports in the document.

END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY: This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal
agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Anite Finland Ltd for the Anite
Finland Ltd software product(s), in whatever form, identified above ("Software Product" or "Software").
The Software Product includes computer software, the associated media, any printed materials, and
any "online" or electronic documentation. By installing, copying or otherwise using the Software
Product, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this
EULA, Anite Finland Ltd is unwilling to license the Software Product to you. In such event, you may
not use or copy the Software Product, and you should promptly return the unused product(s) in their
original packaging to the place of purchase within thirty days of the date of original purchase.
SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE
The Software Product is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as
other intellectual property laws and treaties. The Software Product is licensed, not sold.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE. This EULA grants you the following rights:
Software. You agree that the Software product is licensed to you to be used with the mobile phone(s)
and software protection key designated by Anite Finland Ltd for such use ("Designated Hardware").
You also agree that you shall not have more than one copy of the Software Product in use at a time
for any Designated Hardware in which the Software Product is to be used or to be distributed except
as expressly provided for in this EULA. You may use one copy of the Software Product in binary code
form only on one computer at a time in order to conduct system measurements using the Designated
Hardware at various locations to the extent necessary for the permitted operation of the application
software but may not duplicate the Software Product.
Storage/Network/Single Use. You may also store or install a copy of the Software Product in binary
code form only over an internal network, and distribute the Software Product to your other computers
over an internal network. However, you must acquire and dedicate a license for the Software Product
for each Designated Hardware on which the Software Product is used or to which it is distributed. A
license for the Software Product may not be shared or used concurrently on different computers.
2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.
Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation and Disassembly. Removal, emulation, or
reverse engineering of all or any part of this product or its protection constitutes an unauthorized
modification to the product and is specifically prohibited. Nothing in this license statement permits you
to derive the source or assembly code of files provided to you in executable or object formats.
Limitations on Modifications, Adaptations and Other Changes. You may not modify, adapt or
otherwise make any changes to the Software Product except and only to the extent you are expressly
permitted to do so under the applicable mandatory law notwithstanding this limitation or by Anite
Finland Ltd's prior written consent.
Separation of Components. The Software Product is licensed as a single product. Its component
parts may not be separated for use on more than one Designated Hardware and computer as
designated above.

Not for Resale. This Software Product is “Not for Resale" or "NFR" and your license only permits
personal use and you may not sell or otherwise transfer the Software Product for value except as
specified below.
Rental. You may not rent, lease or lend the Software Product to any person or entity.
Software Transfer. You may not otherwise give or permanently transfer any or all of your rights under
this EULA without the express prior written consent of Anite Finland Ltd which such consent shall not
be unreasonably withheld.
Duration and Termination. This EULA is effective from the day you open the sealed media package
or download and continues until termination. You may terminate this EULA at any time. Without
prejudice to any other rights, Anite Finland Ltd may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the
terms and conditions of this EULA. In either event, you must destroy all copies of the Software Product
and all associated media, printed materials, updates and component parts and verify to Anite Finland
Ltd in writing that such has been done.
3. SUPPORT SERVICES. Anite Finland Ltd may provide you with support services related to the
Software Product ("Support Services"). Any supplemental software code provided to you as part of the
Support Services shall be considered part of the Software Product and subject to the terms and
conditions of this EULA. With respect to technical information you provide to Anite Finland Ltd as part
of the Support Services, Anite Finland Ltd may use such information for its business purpose,
including for product updates and development.
4. COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARKS. All title and copyrights in and to the Software Product (including
but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music, text and "applets",
incorporated into the Software Product), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the
Software Product, are owned by Anite Finland Ltd or its suppliers. The Software Product is protected
by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. You may not copy the printed materials
accompanying the Software Product. You may not remove, modify or alter any Anite Finland Ltd
copyright or trademark from any part of the Software Product, including but not limited to any such
notices contained in the physical and/or electronic media or documentation, in the Anite Finland Ltd
Setup Wizard dialogue or 'about' boxes, in any of the runtime resources and/or in any web-presence
or web-enabled notices, code or other embodiments originally contained in or dynamically or
otherwise created by the Software Product.

5. DUAL-MEDIA SOFTWARE. You may receive the Software Product in more than one medium.
Regardless of the type or size of medium you receive, you may use only that one medium that is
appropriate for the systems you use to operate the Software Product. You may not use or install the
other medium on any system. You may not loan, rent, lease or otherwise transfer the other medium to
another user, except as part of the permanent transfer (as provided above) of the Software Product.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY AND NON-DISCLOSURE. You agree to keep in confidence and not to disclose
in any manner or form to any third party nor publish any such data or information related to the
Software Product. You agree to protect all information and data provided to you by Anite Finland Ltd
related to the Software Product with the same degree of care that you use to protect your own like
data and information, but with not less than that due care exercised by a reasonably prudent person
under the same or similar circumstances.
7. U.S. GOVERNMENTAL RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The Software Product and documentation are
provided with Restricted Rights. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to
restrictions as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer
Software clause at DFARS 252.277-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial
Computer Software - Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52-227-19, as applicable.
8. LIMITED WARRANTY. Anite Finland Ltd warrants that (a) the Software Product will perform
substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of three (3) months
from the date of receipt, and (b) any third party hardware accompanying the Software Products will be
free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1)
year from the date of receipt. To the extent that implied warranties are disclaimable, they are
disclaimed in paragraph 10. Some states/jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers of or limitations on
duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Any implied warranties
on the Software Product and, as applicable, third party hardware that is not disclaimable are limited to
three (3) months and one (1) year respectively.
9. CUSTOMER REMEDIES. Anite Finland Ltd and its suppliers' entire liability and your exclusive
remedy shall be, at Anite Finland Ltd option, either (a) return of the price paid, or (b) repair or
replacement of the software or hardware that does not meet the Limited Warranty contained in this
EULA and which is returned to Anite Finland Ltd. The Limited Warranty contained herein is void if
failure of the software or third party hardware has resulted from accident, abuse, misapplication or
events beyond the control of Anite Finland Ltd including, but not limited to Acts of God, acts of nature
or acts of war. Any replacement Software Products or hardware will be warranted for the remainder of
the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer. Anite Finland Ltd is not
responsible for ensuring adequate backup and storage for your data or records.
10. NO OTHER WARRANTIES. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Anite Finland Ltd
disclaims all other warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties
of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement of third-party rights, with
regard to the Software Product, the accompanying written materials, and any accompanying
hardware. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have others which vary from
state/jurisdiction to state/jurisdiction.

11. NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. To the maximum extent permitted by
applicable law, in no event shall Anite Finland Ltd or its suppliers be liable for any damages
whatsoever (including without limitation, special, incidental, consequential, punitive or indirect
damages for personal injury, loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business
information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use this Software
Product, even if Anite Finland Ltd has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In any case,
Anite Finland Ltd and its suppliers' entire liability under any provision of this EULA shall be limited to
the amount actually paid by you for the Software Product and/or third party hardware accompanying
the Software Product. The Limitations of Liability contained in this Section apply to claims of every
kind, whether based on contract law, tort law or otherwise, even if these limitations have the effect of
exculpating a party from responsibility for its negligence, fault or other conduct. Because some
states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental
damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.
