Farman Ali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software at Sejong University, South Korea. He received his B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2011, M.S. degree in computer science from Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, in 2015, and a Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Inha University, South Korea, in 2018, where he worked as a PostDoctoral Fellow at the UWB Wireless Communications Research Center from September 2018 to August 2019. His current research interests include sentiment analysis / opinion mining, information extraction, information retrieval, feature fusion, artificial intelligence in text mining, ontology-based recommendation systems, healthcare monitoring systems, deep learning-based data mining, fuzzy ontology, fuzzy logic, and type-2 fuzzy logic. He has registered over 4 patents and published more than 85 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He has been awarded with Outstanding Research Award (Excellence of Journal Publications-2017), and the President Choice of the Best Researcher Award during graduate program at Inha University.
