AND DRAMA
LESSON 3
WHAT IS DRAMA?
WHAT IS DRAMA?
• Drama is a composition in prose form that presents a story entirely told in dialogue
and action and written with the intention of its eventual performance before an
audience.
• Drama or a play is a script that is meant to be staged.
• In their book Discovering Literature: Stories, Poems, Plays (2002), Hans Guth and
Gabrielle Rico mention that drama has five elements namely:
-situation
-character
-dialogue
-plot
-style
