Take some photos outdoors of a scene or object(s) that interest you. Think about what may lend itself to the medium of colored pencil. Maybe some beautiful changing leaves, ponds/rivers, gardens, animals (pets/ wild life). What techniques would work with the texture of items in your photos? How will you compose your drawing? What is the focal point? You may choose a close up viewpoint (for example, leaves in detail) or a scene such as a landscape. Maybe you have other ideas that you’d like to explore!
