HOW NOT TO LEARN A LANGUAGE
Try to memorize all the grammar rules
It is true that grammar is important but the idea is learn them little by little.
There are people who have problems communicating in another language and it is often
because they have tried to memorize all the grammar rules without practicing daily.
What you need to do is enjoy some movies, games or music videos in your target language,
keep familiarizing yourself with the language every day and you will start learning grammar
naturally.
Tip: Write something every day. Write shopping lists notes to yourself or anything else that is
already part of your daily life, but do it all in your target language.
DON’T PRACTICE EVERY DAY
After language class, go back to speaking and thinking in your native language. Don’t ever
practice outside of class.
Don’t set aside a bit of time every day to study vocabulary and practice. You only practice
language within the confines of the classroom.
