PERSON PROFILE I am a well-trained and experienced lawyer, researcher, and human rights advocate. As a researcher, my work covers law, governance, human rights, land and natural resources rights, advocacy, and policy formulation. I have graduated with LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA 2015) at the Centre for Human Rights (CHR), University of Pretoria. In the past, I have also pursued Post-Graduate Diploma in Law (Advocates Training Programme – ATP, 2014) at the Kenya School of Law and successfully completed thereafter admitted to the Roll of Advocates. I hold high-level training in Law, including the Legal System of East Africa, Land and Natural Resources Law, and Human Rights Law among many other fields. I am also a trained Programme Planning Manager able to employ rights-based approaches to programming. I also have competence in Organisational Leadership courtesy of my current professional position. Also, I have recently developed competence in the area of Large-Scale Land Acquisitions for mega projects such as extractives and agriculture due to the human rights violations meted on the vulnerable groups and communities and transparency issues around the process of land acquisition.
