Airborne precautinos are used to
protect against droplet infections
smaller than 5 mcg.
These include measles, varicella,
pulmonary or laryngeal
tuberculosis.
- Have visitors check with nurse for
mask instructions
- Place a precaution sign outside the
door
- Perform hand hygiene before
entering the isolation room and don
