Your goal is to complete 50 points worth of activities.
You may choose any combination of activities totaling up to 50 points.
You may be creative within each activity below as long as it meets the criteria.
Must show me your plan by_________. Activities can be turned in at any time during the unit.
All writing is expected to be typed or written neatly.
Activity
Create an Acrostic for both “Hinduism” and “Buddhism.” Each phrase
must begin with one of the letters and be related to the target word.
Create a crossword puzzle with at least 15 words relating to the two
religions. Must develop accurate/appropriate clues. Answer key must
be provided
Create an informational newspaper article about either one of the
religions. Must include a picture with a caption. At least 3 paragraphs in
length. Neatly written or typed.
Create a 2-4 minute skit focusing on either religion. Must be factual.
Should have props or costumes. Can work in groups. Must turn in script
before presentation.
Create a 1 minute song/rap/poem focusing on the religions of India.
Words must make sense, and be appropriate, but be creative.
Create 10 trading cards for people, religions, or ideas from India. Each
should have a colored picture, and three relevant facts. Submit in a
carrying bag.
Create a separate “3 facts and a fib” for each religion. Each one should
have three true statements and one false statement. False statement
should not be obvious. Also submit a paragraph explaining why the
statement was false on a separate sheet of paper.
Create a three dimensional timeline. Must contain at least 5 dates and
each one needs to have a sentence explaining why it is an important
date to Ancient india. Each date should have a meaningful object
securely attached to represent the date.
Create a game board. Must have a few easy to understand rules.
Include at least 20 questions or response cards. Focus of the questions
need to be on India. Provide answer key.
