Vlahov 1 Georgi Vlahov Professor Jim McCrary Rhet&Comp October 26, 2021 Effects Last summer wildfires were danger for a lot of towns and small villages in Europe. The big fire that devoured couple small villages and big tree masses in Bulgaria was caused by a gas bottle that exploded in a house from one of those villages. The land was devastated, and a lot of people were left without roofs over their heads. In the neighbouring region of Macedonia between Greece and The Republic of North Macedonia, according to the latest information the fire started from a spark and spread over big forest massif and killed a lot of farm animals on its way. Near the Balkan peninsula in Turkey huge fire ravaged cops and destroyed business for millions of euros. The same was the case was in other European countries like Spain, bigger fire in Italy and a couple of smaller wildfires in south of France. After calculations the wildfires costed a lot to the average person with local business and costed the lives of others. Those were the immediate consequences of this fire. Sadly, we can only speculate for the future. Probably the secondary cause of those wildfires will be the release of nanoparticles and ashes in the process of burning. Those particles can cause respiratory problems and even cancer. More distant effect will be the greenhouse effect. The release of CO2 can be harmful to our planet and if the temperature of our planet raises with even 1°C that will lead to accelerated melting of the ice caps. Consequently, floods will occur more often, and summers are going to be hotter. Perfect environment for spreading wildfires.
