Civics Final Economics By: Justin Vankirk My job of choice is an Aerospace Engineer. Salary is $107,830 a year. I shall need five years in college to get my bachelors degree. The total cost is $165000 over five years or $33000 a year (I will be paying only for books during that time due to financial aid and scholarships) I shall live in Virginia. The cost of living is above the average of the U.S. -49,753 for a family of 4 I will not have children 4 Bedroom 2 Bath $50,000 (found on a real estate site) Ford Taurus 2001 $2,000 (covered) Bills :Electric-$124 Water-$100 Phone-$60 Wi-Fi- $50 Insurance - $420 (health, home, and car) Grocery $250 Gas - $150 per month (to be really safe) Mortgage- $450 for a 15 year loan (helps credit) Retirement- $810 Total $2164 per month Evaluation I believe I shall have enough money for the lifestyle I believe I will lead. I will not have television not because of the lack of money to do so but rather because the internet has about anything I will need to watch or see. I think my schooling will be worthwhile because I will feel as though my time is being used in a good manner and I shall be making more than enough to live on. I will not have any kids until I mature both as a person and financially. I want to be above all else prepared for whatever is to come and financial stability is a very important aspect to being prepared. I can save money for any kind of car improvement I may wish but shall live a quiet life.
