ORGANIZING AND STRENGTHENING OF LOCAL COUNCILS FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (LCPC) WHAT IS LCPC? • Basically it is an institutional mechanism in the LGU that facilitates and implements children’s programs. • It is a council organized in all levels (Prov, City, Municipality and Barangay) that serves as the umbrella organization for children’s concerns. • It is a council fully harnessed to be an efficient and effective advocate of child rights, and implementor of all children’s programs in the barangay.
