Tanner Eisenmann Comp and Rhetoric Persuasive Essay October 12, 2018 Raising Cane’s and Why Everyone Should Work There Raising Cane’s hires new employees to work at the restaurants located around the country and overseas as well. A chain of restaurants that originated in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Raising Cane’s was founded by Todd Graves on August 26, 1966 as a place where customers could come for quality chicken finger meals, as well as superb customer service. This was always the company’s vision as employees would want to keep desiring to work more and customers would always want to return after the first visit. Working at Raising Cane’s is good because it provides a respectful work environment and flexible hours for its employees. Employees that work at Raising Cane’s are introduced to a friendly work environment from the very start of the first day hired. The crew and managers are always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed and make the whole restaurant feel like a second family. New employees that work there may be intimidated, especially if it the first job that person has, but Raising Cane’s does a great job of making sure the employees feel comfortable and confident at all times! One experience at the restaurant that happened was one crewmember was being made fun of in the back by another crewmember. Immediately all the crew working that shift went and defended the crewmember who was being persecuted and that crewmember felt at ease and secure because of the community the restaurant had established. With a strong family-oriented environment, Cane’s continues to grow with more employees. Not only is there a sense of community at Raising Cane’s, employees are highly respected with work hours that are given and how flexible the company keeps them. Employees can give a status of availability and the restaurant always honors it and respects events occurring in crewmembers personal lives no matter what. The company allows many days off as well, many holidays and even crewappreciation days. An instance that happened once was when one crewmember had come to work to work the shift and later got a call explaining that a close family member had passed away. This was very hard on this crewmember and we allowed this person to have the next two weeks off to reflect and recover. The employee was very thankful and shows how adaptable Cane’s can be and how the company cares about employee’s outside lives over work endeavors. Raising Cane’s has a theme that not a lot of restaurants have, and that theme is family. Cane’s cares so much for its crew and exhibits much appreciation for the people that work there to try to make the team feel like a family. From the wonderful community it supplies and the great hours it gives its employees, how can people not want to work here? Even though it is a restaurant it does not mean anyone should be intimidated by it! People can benefit so much from what the company gives and get an incredible experience by working there. Cane’s strives to have a place where its employees want to come to work and the customers want to come back and get food. If anyone works at Raising Cane’s now, that person will get the opportunity to do this! Take a chance and apply at a incredible restaurant with a reputation for respecting its employees and the community!
