Qs 1a. Who is a MYSTIC ?
Mystic comes from the word MYSTICISM and MYSTYCISM is
identification, aspiration, communion or conscious awareness of divinity through intuition or direct
experience. Is a spiritual philosophy to seek ways to find communion with God or one supreme
Deity.Although many associate the concept of mysticism as occult but it’s a bad definition. The
word comes from a a mystical Greek or Myein word and it hard something to do with to do with
mysterious. That’s it cannot be fully understood.
Therefore; a MYSTIC: There are numerous definitions of what a mystic is out there. But one that
resonates strongly comes from author and translator of mystics, Mirabai Starr, who writes:The
way of the mystic is the way of surrender, of dying to the false self to be reborn as the true Self,
the God Self, the radiant, divine being we actually are. It’s not that the old self—the personality,
the ego, the stories we tell about our lives—is bad or wrong. It’s that when we recognise the
essential emptiness of our individual identity in light of the glorious gift of our
interconnectedness with the One, independence becomes much less compelling. Is a person
who believes or claims to be able to Fathom mysteries beyond ordinary human knowledge. Also
it’s someone that has direct experience of sacred without resorting to ordinary religious rituals or
intermediaries .
