Instructional Planning (The process of systematically planning, developing, evaluating and managing the instructional process by using principles of teaching and learning - D.O. 42, s. 2016) Detailed Lesson Plan (DLP) Format DLP No.: 26 Learning Area: PRACTICAL RESEARCH 2 Learning Competency/ies: (Taken from the Curriculum Guide) Key Concepts / Understandings to be Developed Domain Grade Level: Quarter: Duration: Date: 12 1 60 July 15, 2019 The learner: 1. Chooses appropriate quantitative research design. Remembering The fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association Understanding CS_RS12-IIa-c-1 The learner demonstrates understanding of the quantitative research designs. Adapted Cognitive Process Dimensions (D.O. No. 8, s. 2015) Knowledge Code: OBJECTIVES: Discuss the 3 types of Quantitative Research Design and its sub-types. Applying Skills The ability and capacity acquired through deliberate, systematic, and sustained effort to smoothly and adaptively carryout complex activities or the ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something Analyzing Identify what Quantitative Research Design is fit for every research topic. Evaluating Assess what issues to consider when designing your own research. Creating Attitude Organization Values Valuing 2. Content 3. Learning Resources Understanding Data and Ways to Systematically Collect Data Laptop, MS Word and Projector. 4. Procedures Engage 4.1 Introductory Activity Right now, students had already decided the topic that they want to study, but somehow, they do not know how to conduct their study. 10 minutes Open the floor to critically engage the students to think on the following questions: 1. What procedures will you adopt to obtain answers to research questions? 2. How will you carry out the tasks needed to complete the different components of the research process? 3. What should you do and not do in the process of undertaking the study? Randomly call 3 groups and let them share their own answer to the questions above. 4.2 Explore Activity Reporting Activity 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 45 minutes Divide the whole class into 3 groups and give each group hand-outs. Let each read the hand-outs and assign each group 1 Quantitative Research Design, give them 10 mins. Let each group discuss to their members the Quantitative Research Design assigned to them. Give each group to be involve in the topic and provide them a chance to build their own understanding. Discuss to the students what Descriptive Research Design is and its sub-types. 6. Discuss to the students what Correlation Research Design is and its sub-types. 7. Discuss to the students what Descriptive Research Design is and its sub-types. 8. 4.3 Analysis 0 4.4 minutes Analysis of Learners' Products minutes Reinforcing / strengthening the day’s lesson Assignment 0 4.8 minutes Assessment 0 4.7 minutes Application 0 4.6 minutes Abstraction 0 4.5 Open the floor for every question and clear all doubts as each group present their report. Concluding Activity 5 minutes 5. Remarks Give constructive criticism on each group. Due to the limited time, continue the lesson next meeting. 6. Reflections A. No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation. C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson. B. No. of learners who require additional activities for remediation. D. No. of learners who continue to require remediation. E. Which of my learning strategies worked well? Why did these work? F. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or supervisor can help me solve? G. What innovation or localized materials did I use/discover which I wish to share with other teachers?
