1. Dr. Paul Clayton is a food expert and tells us that our brains are affected by the things we eat
and drink, and that some foods affect the way we think and feel.
2. Dieters tend to get depressed more easily, because they eat fewer carbohydrates and
carbohydrates make us feel happy.
3. School children who eat protein for breakfast perform better in school because protein keeps
us awake and focused.
4. Paul and Terry are former chess champions. They conducted an experiment in which Paul ate
ham and salad and Terry ate carbohydrates. When playing, Terry felt sleepy and Paul had more
energy.
5. Swiss researchers found that eating dark chocolate reduces stress. They also found that
chocolate improves mood and reduces high blood pressure.






