Company Roots
We trace our beginnings to January
1988, where GSM Electric Services
was awarded contracts to assemble
generator synchronizing control panels,
ACMV control panels and motor
control centers.
The vision to be the leading and preferred
manufacturer of low voltage switchgear and
controlgear assemblies led to the formation of
GSM Pte. Ltd. in 1992. GSM continues to offer
at competitive prices, high quality products,
complemented with excellent customer
services.

Our diverse and highly skilled global workforce
consists of approximately 200 employees.

globally to provide innovative solutions to the
ever changing electrical industry.

Technology and Emerging Energy
GSM focuses on technologies that improve our ability to
manufacture products that meet international standards.
Our low voltage switchgear and controlgear
assemblies underwent the stringent type
testing in ASTA (now Intertek), and were
certified to IEC 60439 in 2001. In 2012, we
developed a new range of products to be
certified by KEMA (now DEKRA) to IEC 61439.
To meet the challenging industry requirements,
GSM continues to research and develop
products that comply with many international
standards,
such
as
electromagnetic
compatibility (EMC) directives as per IEC
62236-5, outdoor and indoor enclosure
degree of protection requirements as per IEC
60529, as well as shock tests on low voltage
distribution boards.
The compliance of international standards led
GSM to be the leading supplier of low voltage
switchgear and controlgear assemblies to
numerous metro projects in Singapore, namely
the Circle Line, Northeast Line and Downtown
Line, as well as data centres, namely Thomson
Reuters, Yahoo, SingTel, Equinix, NTT, VISA,
NCS, IDA, Microsoft, ST, M1.
GSM is also at the forefront of emerging energy
technologies, such as solar technology and
renewable energy resources, supplying the low
voltage switchgear to the Experimental Power
Grid Centre, one of the largest experimental
power grid facilities in the world, situated in
Singapore’s Jurong Island.
