Making a Model of an Animal Cell
Objective:
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of animal cell structure by creating a 3D model of an animal cell.
Students will be assessed on their ability to use their model to describe the structure and components of an
animal cell.

Building Materials:
1. Basic craft materials will be provided by the teacher.
2. Students are encouraged to be creative and use whatever materials they can access.
a. Search the internet for ideas for your 3D model.
b. Home recycling bins can be a great source of materials.
Building Procedure:
1. We will be building our models in class over 1-2 periods.
a. More time may be given if needed.
2. You need to label the organelles in your cell model.
