PREPOSITIONS OF TIME
A preposition is a word that converts one thing to another.
On: We use on with dates and days. eg. on Sunday
During: We use during + noun to say when something happens.
eg. during meals
In: We use in for longer periods of time. eg. in three years
Since: We use since + a starting point, a specific time. eg. since 1966

PREPOSITIONS

A preposition is a word that shows the relationship of a noun or a pronoun to another word in a sentence.

A preposition describes a relationship between other words in a sentence. In itself, a word like "in" or "after" is rather meaningless and hard
to define in mere words.
Unnecessary Prepositions
In everyday speech, we fall into some bad habits, using prepositions
where they are not necessary. It would be a good idea to eliminate these
words altogether, but we must be especially careful not to use them in formal,
academic prose.



