Thus internet has bridged the gap so that we are able to access information easily and efficiently. Search Engines Search Engines That specific activity of looking for something is called search. Search engine is a program that searches for and identifies items in a database that correspond to keywords or characters specified by the user, used especially for finding particular sites on the World Wide Web.
