Donations [For Children]
Our first CSR charity campaign was launched in
May 2019 to an overwhelmingly positive
response. Two million items were donated to
4,000 underprivileged children.

In advance of Lunar New Year, Shopee helped a
group of senior citizens to purchase daily
necessities and donated 2,000 items for their
use.

Donations [For Young Children]
For International Women’s Day on March 8th,
Shopee launched an online fundraiser for
survivors of domestic abuse. All proceeds were
directed to supporting survivors and raising
awareness of the cause.

Shopee canvassed millions of items that are daily
necessities and used the items raised to help
4,000 young children grow and re-assimilate into
society.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Shopee launched
a campaign that enabled Shopee users to
purchase daily necessities that were in limited
supply to be distributed to children with
disabilities.

The Hung-Chia Sanctuary for People with
Physical Disabilities is a long-term care center for
children with physical disabilities. With public
support, Shopee was able to purchase new
washing machines for the sanctuary.

Our largest and most successful campaign
gathered donations to help 17,613 stray animals.
Our partner, Hill’s Pet Nutrition Inc. donated
around NTD $ 2.68 million worth of pet food for
the campaign.

Donations [For Children in Remote Areas]
Over 2,000 Shopee users participated in a
campaign to donate food to children in remote
areas. Tens of thousands of food products were
donated to thousands of children in remote
areas to ensure they have food to eat after
school.

A Shopee campaign raised resources to help
thousands of people with physical disabilities.

Shopee hosted a two-month joint donation
program with 15 social welfare agencies across 5
different categories to help thousands of people
in need.

Shopee learned about a community organization
that sells mooncakes every year to raise funds in
support of people with disabilities. Shopee
organized a campaign to promote the
mooncakes on the Shopee platform, significantly
boosting revenue for the organization.

A donation drive on Shopee raised a significant
amount of pet food and other pet products to
support the good work being done by animal
shelters.

In order to narrow the gap in digital access,
Shopee donated 400 used computers and
equipment to underprivileged youth, and rallied
our community to donate 200 more computers
in just two weeks.

During this campaign, Shopee donated nearly

Donations [Christmas Presents]
Wishes should come true on Christmas! That’s
why Shopee asked the public for volunteers to
dress up as Santa Claus to surprise 139 children.
We also hosted a festive dinner to celebrate with
the children.

Narrowing The Digital Divide
In 2019, we launched the Green Computer Project to help narrow the gap in access to
digital resources.
Shopee took the lead by donating hundreds of used computers and calling on our
community across Taiwan to join us in donating their unused devices. This cooperative
effort allowed for resources to be effectively reused, giving underprivileged communities
access to technology and digital resources.

The Green Computer Project also saw the donation of 22 computers to the Qizhang community for children in more remote parts of Taiwan. Part of their activity center was converted into a computer room where volunteers and external instructors provided lessons
in computer literacy skills.

Women and Children
The Garden of Hope Foundation has been assisting more than 100,000 survivors of
domestic abuse over the past 30 years. The foundation received an 8 from the Social
Return on Investment (SROI) review which means that for each NTD $ 1 donated, the foundation was able to create eight times more in net social value. In fact, the foundation has
created tens of billions in social value over the past three years.

For International Women’s Day in March, Shopee joined hands with the Garden of Hope
Foundation to launch an online donation campaign in support of survivors of domestic
abuse and raise awareness for the cause.

Supporting Underprivileged Children
To help children from underprivileged backgrounds, we organize dedicated donation
campaigns to raise funds and resources.
Since its establishment, Shopee Charity has organized a total of five campaigns that have
provided donations, food, and practical assistance to more than 10,500 children.

Supporting People With Disabilities And Their Families
The Covid-19 pandemic presented many challenges for social welfare organizations.
Shopee Charity stepped in to aid organizations that support people with disabilities and
their families, providing an additional source of donations and provision of daily necessities
as many essential goods were in limited supply. The program helped over 1,200 children.
