THE FULL LIFE
PLANNER
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Why We Made The Full Life Planner
Let's face it, we only have a limited amount of hours in our lifetime; so it's essential we spend them
wisely. This is a recurring theme in our courses at Lifehack Academy, because it's a huge factor in
whether we live the life we want, or stay stuck and stagnant in a life that may not fulfill us. A life
without sacrifice is the ultimate way to live, but to do so, we must recognize the importance of time.
Lifehack was founded on the principle that self improvement should be available to anyone anywhere.
We also take pride in what we teach, so much so, that we often offer advice that has already worked
for us as a team.
That's where this planner makes its debut. We've been around for almost 15 years, and as an
organization we have learned a lot of important lessons about proper time budgeting and planning.
After all, when it comes down to business, time is money. And, you should absolutely think about your
time in the same way. But time is even more valuable than money, because once it's spent, you just
can't get it back.
This planner is based on the exact same model our team at Lifehack implements. And the reason we
have turned it into a planner is because it really works.
“It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan.”
~ Eleanor Roosevelt
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Why This Planner is Different
This planner not only serves as a place for you to jot down your daily tasks, appointments, and
reminders, it's a new way to think about HOW you use those hours. When you implement some pretty
simple guidelines into your planning, you will be amazed at the progress you can make towards your
major goals.
In addition, this planner will allow you to see your progress, month by month, and help you learn and
adapt so you can set yourself up for success each time around. This isn't just a tool to help keep you
organized, it's a tool to help you make smart, focused decisions on how to use your time, and never
waste it again.
We base this planner off of many of the principles taught in our Full Life Framework. This framework
works off of the unique philosophy that you CAN have it all in life, if you just plan accordingly. Everyone
wants to lead a full and meaningful life with opportunities for happiness, growth, and success. Yet, the
reality is that many people are faced with a lot of constraints that leave them feeling stuck and having
to make major sacrifices… such as family obligations, work deadlines, never-ending to-do lists, low
energy levels, and the expectations of others.
Many find themselves struggling with the same problems over and over again. Limitations are a part of
life, but they don't have to rule your destiny. The Full Life Framework teaches you how to reclaim your
life to be fulfilled and successful, without any sacrifice. In this planner, we have modified this mindset to
fit your daily life, in a comprehensive way that will enable you to get things done.
Who This Planner is For
This planner is for go-getters and dreamers -- whether you’re a CEO or a SAHM, a student or a
teacher. No matter who you are or what role you play in life, your time is incredibly valuable. Your
talents are incredibly valuable. Your health and wellness is incredibly valuable. Your relationships at
both work and home are incredibly valuable. This planner will help you bring it all together. Whether
you use this for work, school, major life goal setting, or any combination of these, this is an essential
tool to help you change your life.
If you just simply don't seem to have enough time in the day, or enough focus to get things done, use it
as a guided roadmap to get where you want to be in life. Think of it like the swiss army knife of
productivity, helping you set yourself up for success and outline a plan of action that you simply won’t
be able to resist. With the Full Life Planner, you'll have no more excuses not to follow your dreams!
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
How To Use This Planner
Planners are usually thought of an expanded to-do list, but the potential behind a planner is so much
more. Many people purchase planners with the intention of organization, structure, and simply
remembering things. This planner does all that and more.
It enables you to understand the WHYs of your tasks, which not only helps you get things done, but
helps you reach your major goals in life, which leads to higher life satisfaction and fulfillment.
Use this planner just as the pages are laid out, going through each section step by step so you can see
how the framework impacts your quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily planning. (Hint: It will make it a
LOT easier)
As you start to plan your quarters using these steps that we have laid out for you, rather than simply
filling in dates with tasks, you’ll start to notice that the goals practically make themselves as you hone
in to daily and hourly planning. And, as you check them off, you’ll also notice your momentum starting
to soar upward, which will make you an unstoppable goal getter.
This planner is broken down into two main areas: Accumulating Ideas and Planning and Executing
Projects. They are based on the major goals you set for yourself (Life Missions), whether at work, home,
or another area.
Step 1: Accumulating Ideas
Before you ever make a commitment to a plan, it’s important to really
investigate ideas and see which ones align best with your Life Missions and big
goals.
Ideas are not frivolous, in fact, they are essential. They are the things that will
help us make progress on, and get closer to, our goals.
Pretty much any great idea starts with a problem that needs to be solved. It’s
helpful to first ask yourself some important questions about where you need most support to reach our
goals: not enough pay? Need a new job? House feels dated and needs a refresh? You will store all of
your ideas into an idea journal, which you’ll update regularly and consistently. Whatever the solution,
there is a problem waiting to be solved. Ideas will come to you at various times, so you’ll want to log
them down whenever inspiration strikes!
As Ideas develop and mature, they can be turned into Projects, which is where step 2 comes in.
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Step 2: Planning and Executing Projects
Once you have gathered a lot of ideas, you’ll move them over into the sections
for Planning and Executing Projects. This will be done Quarterly, Weekly, and
Daily.
Quarterly planning will be for setting major goals and milestones. These major
goals will align well with your Life Missions and be fully fleshed out in your
Ideas Journal.
From there, you can further break them down into smaller goals and milestones that can be hit
monthly, weekly, as well as daily tasks and actions.
Let’s jump right in so you can see how it works. We’ll begin by naming your life missions, then setting
some goals, then move onto monthly milestones, and finally, we’ll further hone it down into weekly and
daily goals/tasks/actions.
“Goals must never be from your ego, but problems that cry
for a solution.”
~Robert H. Schuller

THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
The Full Life Framework
There's a common trope that to be successful in your life, you can't possibly have it all. Something has
to be sacrificed. This is a damaging mindset that can leave one feeling totally unfulfilled in life and a
victim to one's circumstances. Living without sacrifice is not only possible, but an essential component
of leading a life of true happiness.
Living a Full Life means being able to experience the richness and meaning across the entire spectrum
of life. But, it doesn't mean having a "perfect" life, because there’s no such thing as a perfect life. No
matter how rich, powerful, or how lucky you are, there will always be goals to set and reach, and these
all include challenges, obstacles, and failure. Living a Full Life means embracing these challenges, and
having the determination to drive positive change in all of them.
In our framework, there are 6 fundamental parts of life that you must fulfill in order to feel whole:
Physical Health, Family & Relationships, Wealth and Money Satisfaction, Work & Career Prosperity,
Spiritual Wellness, and Mental Strength. We call these the 6 Life Aspects.
Together, these 6 Life Aspects provide you with all the rich and meaningful experiences you can have
in life. These are the MUST-HAVES in your life. Without them, you'll feel like something is missing and
will have a sense of emptiness or loss. Yet, having success in these aspects gives you a feeling of
confidence, hope and a true sense of security.
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
The 6 Full Life Aspects are categories to help you to evaluate your life, but everyone has different needs
and different circumstances. That's where Life Missions come into play.
Life Missions
Are simply really big goals, or missions, in your own life that provides you with satisfaction and is
intrinsically motivating—meaning, it comes from within yourself, not from external motivators.
Life missions are what make your life worth living.
They help you define what you’re actually looking for in life. When you make it a mission it means you
are making a commitment to yourself and will not compromise — because you know that they are the
most valuable things in your life.
When you commit to a mission, you’ll be motivated to find a way to accomplish it no matter what. In
this planner, you're going to use Life Missions as your driving force. We'll guide you to plan your
quarters to fulfill these missions, and help you further break them down into smaller, achievable goals.
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Getting Into a Progress Mindset
A Progress mindset fosters motivation by allowing yourself to appreciate and see value in all the small
wins as well as big ones. As you’re planning out your weekly tasks, a progress mindset is priceless. It
helps you evaluate the work you’ve done, and make sure you’re always staying in line with your
goals--no matter what obstacles or challenges get the way. It all comes down to having the right
mindset.
There are two types of mindsets: a Static Mindset and a Progress Mindset. A Static Mindset focuses
on the outcome. It defaults to seeing things purely in terms of success or failure. If you don’t achieve the
outcome you expect then you haven’t succeeded… which means you have failed. This can prompt you
to question and doubt your ability, your willpower, and your fulfillment in life. It gives you a certain
default thinking pattern through a negative filter, and then you make decisions based on this negative
baseline.
On the other hand, there is a Progress Mindset. Instead of focusing on outcomes, or outputs, a Progress
Mindset focuses on the efforts you invest into what you’re trying to achieve—in other words, the
progress you are making. As you can never be 100% in control of the outcome (which is what a Static
Mindset is based upon), you can control your improvement — and you can measure it, plan it, and
practice it.
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
QUARTERLY GOALS
“Success is steady progress towards one’s personal goals.”
~ Jim Rohn
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Quarterly Goals
The first thing to do is set your big goals. These should be quarterly goals, because any shorter is just
not long enough, and any longer can become a bit too much to handle. Having quarterly goals is the
perfect length of time to establish a good feedback loop, where you Practice, Apply, and Learn, so you
can improve for the next quarter.
So, first thing first is to set your goals. We’ll do this by listing out your life missions for each life aspect.
Then it will be a lot easier for you to establish where you need to add a bit extra effort, or where you
could stand to donate some of your time/effort to other life aspects.
Set Goals Based on Life Missions
Now, it’s your turn to discover what motivates you, and where your goals will come from, by
establishing your Life Missions.
Discover your Life Missions for each of the 6 Life Aspects with the following brainstorming questions:
1. Physical Health
There's no denying the fact that you need to rely on your body — your strength and energy to do the
things you need to do. It also helps build your confidence and enables you to remain strong in other
areas.
Why is my physical health important?
What does it enable me to do?
What would happen if I lost it?
What aspect is most important to me? (e.g.
appearance, mobility, fitness etc.)
What kind of energy level do I want and why?
My Life Mission for Physical Health is:
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
2. Family & Relationships Fulfillment
As social animals, having healthy and positive relationships help you grow and stay happy. It’s
important to schedule time and energy towards these relationships, to help them grow and flourish
alongside your other aspects.
Why are my family & relationships important?
What does it enable me to do?
What would happen if I lost these
relationships?
What’s aspect is most important to me?
(e.g. being romantic, parenting my kids etc.)
What kind of person do I want to be in these
relationships and why?
My Life Mission for Family & Relationships Fulfillment is:
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
3. Work & Career Prosperity
A dream job or career is only a result. This Life Aspect is about how to get yourself on the right path to
achieving that, and making sure it grows and stays meaningful.
Why is my work and career important?
What would happen if I wasn’t happy with it?
What would happen if I lost my
career?
What’s aspect is most important to me?
(e.g. doing what I love, working with elites,
leading a team etc.)
What achievements do I want at the end?
My Life Mission for Work & Career Prosperity is:
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
4. Money & Wealth Satisfaction
Wealth and money are a means to an end. They help you achieve the things you actually want.
Why is money & wealth important to me?
What would happen if I wasn’t happy with it?
What would happen if I lost my income?
What’s aspect is most important to me?
(e.g. making as much money as possible,
saving for retirement etc.)
Ideally, what kind of life do I want to live with
my money and wealth?
My Life Mission for Money & Wealth Satisfaction is:
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
5. Spiritual Wellness
True confidence and strength is built from a strong foundation of Spiritual Wellness. This matters to
your direction and motivation.
Why is spiritual wellness important to me?
What would happen if I wasn’t happy with it?
What would happen if I was spiritually unwell?
What’s aspect is most important to me?
(e.g. feeling calm, mastering my emotions etc.)
What level of spiritual wellness do I want to
have?
My Life Mission for Spiritual Wellness is:
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
6. Mental Strength
This Life Aspect is how you face the outside world in the form of challenges and obstacles.
Why is mental strength important to me?
What would happen if I wasn’t happy with it?
What would happen if I were mentally strong?
What’s aspect is most important to me?
(e.g. resilience, confidence etc.)
Ideally, what level of mental strength do I want
to achieve? What would it be like?

IDEAS JOURNAL
“Everything begins with an idea.”
~ Earl Nightingale
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Your Ideas Journal
This is where the magic starts. This is a journal for you to collect your ideas that you have when you
think about your Life Missions. Look to your goals for your Life Missions and then jot down all the ideas
you can think of to help you achieve these goals.
Your ideas don’t have to be complete before you write them down.
For example, you could simply be aware of a problem you have, such as ‘Dogs don’t get walked
enough’, and then go from there. As you collect ideas, you’ll find that many of them will overlap with
your other Life Mission ideas, and that will spark some true intrinsic motivation. You’ll start getting
excited, and develop concrete actions to reach your goals. This is the time to move the idea into
Planning and Actions, because it has now become a project!
The important thing to remember with this Ideas Journal is that it should be updated regularly and
consistently. This space should feel alive --ever growing and supportive of your major life goals, or life
missions. As this space grows, so will your confidence in living a full life.
The 3 Stage Idea Process:
Stage 1: Identifying a Problem or Opportunity
Problems are obstacles that you want to solve. Write down problems as statements and try to be as
clear and specific as possible.
Opportunity Statements are even better. Because opportunities exist behind all obstacles --- you can
think of opportunities as the other side of the coin.
To find a hidden opportunity, figure out what the turning point is. You can try this statement:
" If only I could ... [ the achievement ] then I'd be able to ... [ the new possibility ] "
Then, all you have to do is flip that statement around to:
“ I have an opportunity to ... [ the new possibility ] by ... [ the achievement ] ”
And you’ve got your opportunity statement!
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
Stage 2: Finding Solutions & Approaches
Next, you start finding inspiration for solutions based on your problem or opportunity. These can come
from anywhere… from reading an article, understanding a new concept, discovering a case study, etc.
When finding a solution, you want to also define an approach. An approach is the way you go about
doing something. For example, a solution to lose weight might be to diet, but … what kind of diet? How
will you go about practicing it? These specific things are the approach to your solution. The more
detailed your approach, the easier it is to turn it into an actionable project.
Stage 3: Transforming Ideas into Actions
When an idea is fully developed, you can turn them into actions that you plan and schedule. This is
where you turn an idea into reality! In the Action Planner section, you’ll find out how to do exactly that.
To visually keep track of your ideas progress, there are two handy status boxes you can check off:
●
PLANNED --- for when you’ve transformed an Idea into an Action Plan
●
COMPLETED --- when that idea has been successfully executed in your life!
There are also a few more helpful information boxes:
●
The Life Mission box lets you fill in which Life Mission(s) this idea is making progress towards.
●
The Effort box is a quick estimate of how much time or energy you think this idea will require
you to invest. This will help during planning when deciding how many projects to take on.
●
The Notes box lets you fill in any miscellaneous things you want to remember about your idea.
Here’s an example of what a fully developed Idea may look like:
IDEA Get fit while stuck at home
▢
Problem / Opportunity
Stuck at home due to the health crisis with no access to a gym.
I have an opportunity to get fit with my new spare time if I could
find a way to work out effectively at home.
Solutions & Approaches
Find and start a home workout routine that uses readily available
furniture at home. It needs to be able to match at least the
minimum level of my current gym workouts so that I don’t lose
my level of fitness.

ACTION PLANNER
MONTH: ______________
“I never worry about action, but only inaction.”
- Winston Churchill
THE FULL LIFE PLANNER
The Action Planner
This section is where you take fully developed ideas and transform them into Projects --- each having
its own set of tasks and actions. We’ll use the Superstructure Method to determine what actions there
are, and what their priority should be when you schedule them into your weekly plan.
As a rule of thumb, a maximum of 5 projects per week is a good target to aim at to stay focused and
avoid overwhelm.
The Superstructure Method
All actions that get you to your goal are important, but it's critical to prioritize your top 20% to hit your
most immediate and beneficial targets early on. These will be your "Must Haves". Your Should Haves
and Good to Haves can comprise the remaining 80% of actions towards your goal.
Must-Haves
These are absolutely critical to achieve your goal. Without it, the outcome is
Should-Haves
These are important to reaching your goal, but not critical. However, leaving
Good-to-haves
Having these things or completing these actions are nice, but not including them
meaningless.
them out may lessen the impact of the final result.
won't have any negative impact on reaching your goal.
Let's use an example of someone’s goal to get in good physical shape by working out every single day.
They have decided to take up running to meet this goal.
●
Their Must Haves would be: A basic pair of athletic shoes, running clothing, time to run, a safe
path to run outdoors.
●
Their Should Haves would be: A portable water bottle, sunglasses to block the sun, specialized
running gear to enable a more comfortable run.
●
Their Good-to-Haves would be: Access to a treadmill for running indoors when the weather is
bad, an app or a fitbit to track distance, speed and incline, books on running to help improve
technique, a running buddy to help pass the time.
As you can see, to get started and to reach their goal, they only need a few basic things. To make their
goal more easily attainable and to have a better result, they can tap into their Should Haves, but they
don't need them to get started. And finally, the Good-to-Haves aren't necessary, but would certainly
improve their running experience.

END OF WEEK REVIEW
Now is the time to check your progress. Be honest with yourself and really take the time to evaluate
your weekly progress. This will help you get better at not only organizing your time, but understanding
potential obstacles for future projects--in other words, you’ll be a better planner.
What did I do really well this week?
What were my top 3 challenges to completing my projects this week?
How much progress did I make towards my milestones?
What can I learn to apply better next week? What could I have done differently?
Am I still on track for meeting my goals for the quarter?
Does anything need to be carried over into next week?

What did I do really well this week?
What were my top 3 challenges to completing my projects this week?
How much progress did I make towards my milestones?
What can I learn to apply better next week? What could I have done differently?
Am I still on track for meeting my goals for the quarter?

Good-to-haves

them out may lessen the impact of the final result.
won't have any negative impact on reaching your goal.

● Add these to your next Weekly Action Plan now.
