POSSIBLE INTERVIEW QUESTION AND ANSWERS
1. WHY DID YOU APPLIED IN DEPED?
ANS: I applied in Deped because I want to change the mindset of the individuals/people especially
the young ones who are currently living in the remote areas who has this principle in vernacular
“kay mao ramay makaya”. I don’t want them to think it that way like there is no hope because of
poverty in terms of education. I want to give them knowledge, understanding, inspiration, and
assurance. Assurance because I will be at their side all throughout their learning journey. I think
Deped will provide me opportunities such as programs and resources to do it in line with their
core values the “maka-diyos, maka-tao, makakalikasan and maka bansa” not just for the growth
of its learners but for me as an educator and as an individual as well.
2. INTRODUCE YOURSELF
ANS: My name is Hermie Jade Gordoncillo, 27 years old, and currently residing in Barangay 3
Tanjay City. I Graduated my bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at Negros Oriental state
university in 2017 because of my passion in teaching I decided to enroll myself in Continuing
Professional Teaching Education units at La Consolacion college and passed the licensure exam
for teacher in 2018. I am a college lecturer at Negros Oriental State university main campus 1
under college of arts and science specifically in Social Science Department for from November
2020 up to the present.
3. HOW CAN YOU UPLIFT THE EDUCATION IN COUNTRYSIDE?
ANS: I think one of the problems that some schools are encountering especially in the remote
areas is the lack of facility in terms of computer technology section. That is why there are students
who goes to college who doesn’t have enough knowledge on how to maneuver the computer. If
I’m not mistaken there are schools who don’t offer ICT to the senior high level due to this problem.
What I’m going to do is I will be bringing my laptop to school introduce and demonstrate the basic
functions of computer. I will propose donation program on used books specifically about
computers so that learners do have materials that they can refer to. I will be resourceful enough
and be creative in making instructional materials so that we will have a conducive classroom
environment.
4. THERE ARE THREE THINGS TO BECOME A GOOD TECAHER; ATTITUDE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS.
IF YOU WERE TO RANK THEM 1 BEING THE HIGHEST, AND 3 BEING THE LOWEST, HOW WOULD
YOU RANK THEM AND WHY?
ANS: If I where to rank them I would pick attitude as the highest. Good attitude comes with great
respect to the feelings, beliefs emotion and values to others. As an employee having discipline,
patience, good perseverance, hardworking personality and open-mindedness. I think I am ready
to acquire knowledge or new learnings then I will be using this knowledge in mastering skills.
