Gregoria de Jesús - was the founder and vicepresident of the women's chapter of the Katipunan
of the Philippines. She was also the custodian of
the documents and seal of the Katipunan.
Agueda Kahabagan- Known in history as the “Tagalog
Joan of Arc” and “Henerala Agueda”, Agueda
Kahabagan is the only officially listed woman
general during the Philippine Revolution of 18961898 and the Philippine American War of 18991902.
Trinidad Tecson- known as the "Mother of Biak-naBato" and "Mother of Mercy", fought to gain
Philippines independence. She was given the title
"Mother of Biak-na-Bato" by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo.
Teresa Magbanua - known by many as the “Joan of Arc
of the Visayas” for her impressive feat as a female
general who valiantly led Filipino troops in the war
against Spanish and American forces. When the
war broke out in Iloilo, she, along with her two
brothers, joined the Katipunan.
