WHAT IS AN INTERVAL?
 An
interval is the distance in
pitch between two musical notes
 An interval is melodic when
notes are sounded one after the
other.
 An interval is harmonic when
notes are sounded
simultaneously

number of semitones it contains.
Major 2nd = 2 semitones
Major 3rd = 4 semitones
Major 6th = 9 semitones

There are four Perfect intervals
