Message, Channel and Receiver) and explain why there is a failure in communication
in the scenario from Video 1.
SOURCE: Father
MESSAGE: Be at home on time
CHANNEL: Father’s voice
RECEIVER: Child
There is a failure in communication in the scenario from Video 1 because they
didn’t care for the feelings or opinion of each other. The child didn’t anymore want to
hear the shouting of his parents that’s why he distant himself. He didn’t want nagging
anymore. Though, it is for the own sake of the child, they must at least said it calmly
and maybe not in the dinner table.

Using the Transactional Model of Communication, Identify the components in
communication (Source, Message, Channel and Receiver) and explain why there is a
failure in communication in the scenario from Video 2.
SOURCE: Child/Mother/Father
MESSAGE: The child being not treated well by his friends
CHANNEL: Person’s voice
RECEIVER: Child/Mother/Father
There is a failure in communication in the scenario from Video 2 because the
parents are too busy minding their own businesses. There were a lot of noise, so they
won’t be able to understand each other and attend to it. All of them are talking so
there’s really a difficulty in communicating in this kind of situation.
