OUR RESPONSE AND TECHNICAL PROPOSAL Riteware Technology has reviewed Terms of Reference for the project, the overall scope of the work to be performed, and some of the specific components of the work site information, and we feel we have the understanding of the scope of this project. The project consists of the supply, delivery and installation of Local Area Network Area Network, VOIP and CCTV. 4. Proposed Solution Request to BID for Supply, delivery and installation of the Local Area Network. (LAN), Wi-Fi, VOIP and CCTV Riteware Technology will submit a technical proposal based on the information obtained from the Site Visit and survey. This Proposal has been prepared as a sample, Its purpose is to illustrate our understanding of the project and detail our approach to the design. 4.1 Local Area Network The objective is to design and implement a local area network which can deliver services effectively and efficiently to the end users. This must meet the need for a 100% reliable and future proof network cabling system. The areas which we will pay particular attention for achieving our objective are as follows; • THROUGHPUT: A cabling systems which meets over and above the minimum Specification for today’s cabling standards as regard to network speed. • FUTURE PROOFING: A cabling system which will meet your future requirements such as Voice over IP (VoIP), Video Conferencing etc. • DESIGN: A network design which accommodates future proofing, maximum bandwidth attainment and open to easy maintenance and problem solving A local area network (LAN) is a group of computers and associated devices that share a common communications line or wireless link. Typically, connected devices share the resources of a single processor or server within a small geographic area (for example, within an office building). Usually, the server has applications and data storage that are shared in common by multiple computer users. A local area network may serve as few as two or three users (for example, in a home network) or as many as thousands of users (for example, in an FDDI network). Page 9 Riteware Technology Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal 4.2 Network Architecture The proposed Local Area Networks (LANs) shall comprise of a structured Fast Ethernet/gigabit network using UTP category 6e cables which will run from the patch panels to the data outlets and will work for both data and voice communication. The connectivity and data transmission will work with Ethernet and gigabit Switches, recommended are the Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches 24port and 48 ports which will be housed in a 6U,9U,12U wall mount network cabinet and 42U free standing cabinets in proposed location in each branch office. 4.3 Network cabling and Trunking Cabling will be done through a cabling using UTP Cat6e or higher cables which shall link all user data network points to floor distribution switches. This is a multi-purpose patch panel system when no or limited access from the rear of the rack is allowed. The panel offers total front access for both incoming and outgoing cables. The light-weight panel is divided in a left and right swivelling section. It is designed for pre-connected incoming cable assemblies. Page 22 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal Patch Cords 3m Single Mode LC-LC A fibre optic patch cord is a fibre cable capped at either end with connectors that allow it to be rapidly and conveniently connected to CATV, an optical switch or other telecommunication equipment. Its thick layer of protection is used to connect the optical transmitter, receiver, and the terminal box. This is known as "interconnect-style cabling" Mode Conditioning Patch Cord is required where Gigabit 1000 Base-LX and 10GBASE-LRM routers and switches are installed into existing multimode cable plants. The transceiver modules launch only single mode 1300 nm signals, but the existing network is built with multimode cables. A single-mode laser launch into the centre of a multimode fibre can generate multiple signals that confuse the receiver at the other end of the fiber. These multiple signals, caused by Differential Mode Delay (DMD) effects, limit the system distance lengths for operating Gigabit Ethernet. Mode Conditioning Patch Cord eliminates these multiple signals by aligning the single-mode launch away from the center of a multimode fiber core. This offset launch creates a transmitted signal that is similar to typical multimode light emitting diode (LED) launches. Connector design standards include, LC-LC. Cables are classified by the connectors on either end of the cable; some of the most common cable configurations include LC-LC. Patch Cords 1m Single Mode LC-LC Page 23 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal Patch Cords 1m Single Mode SC-SC CCTV PROPOSED SOLUTION Proposed Solution In request to BID for Supply and installation of IP CCTV cameras. Riteware Technology submits this technical proposal based on the information obtained from the site survey. This Proposal has been prepared in detail. Its purpose is to illustrate our understanding of the project and detail our approach to the design. IP Cameras Surveillance has become an essential need of home and office infrastructures, today. CCTV (Closed circuit Television) cameras are being installed in offices, homes, public places and even vehicles to enhance the security of assets and human beings. IP Cameras or Internet Cameras are one of the popular digital devices used for transmission and capturing of video data. IP camera is a digital camera or a webcam that transmits the data over a computer network(LAN) or the internet. IP cameras offer better video resolution, digital storage, advanced control features and flexibility to add any additional cameras. Unlike CCTV camera, IP cameras have their own memory to store data and can be powered by POE (power over Ethernet) adapter. Let us find out what are the major applications and how do IP cameras work. Features of IP Cameras Easy to setup. The IP cameras are easy to install (plug and play) electronic devices. They come with pre-installed software and are compatible with windows, Android and iOS operating systems. Remote Viewing. You can view your home or office remotely from anywhere over the internet with free DDNS or static IP. You can also tilt or pan the camera remotely from your smartphone. Motion Alarms. Whenever an intrusion or motion is sensed by an IP camera, it will instantly send a notification or email to your phone. Two-way Audio. With two-way communication, you can talk to your employees at the office or talk to your siblings at home. Multi-user. Multiple users can simultaneously use the IP camera on multiple devices like PC, tablet or phone. Form-Factor. The IP cameras are available in multiple interface types. You can connect it directly to network with LAN port or wirelessly configure it with a Wi-Fi router. The IP cameras come in both fixed as well as PTZ configurations. Storage memory. The IP cameras come equipped with TF (trans flash) memory card slots. Depending on the storage capacity of memory cards, you can store the video recording for a larger number of days. Page 24 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal Night-Vision. Equipped with infrared LEDs, IP cameras are fully capable of capturing and transmitting Live videos during the night or low light conditions. How IP camera Works IP cameras capture the data in a similar fashion as a digital camera does. The IP camera has the ability to compress these captured videos and transmit them over the network. Just like any other network peripheral like printer or scanner, you can add IP camera to the existing network infrastructure. If you intend to use a single camera you can directly access it over the internet since it already has the required software and memory to operate as an independent unit. If you want to use multiple IP cameras, the same can be configured using a centralized software called Network Video Recorder(NVR). The utility of NVR is similar to DVR (Digital Video Recorder) that is to view the videos from multiple cameras. DVR is a physical device and involves other functionalities like encoding and processing of video data. NVR, on the other hand, is only a software program that receives the pre-processed data from IP cameras and enables multiple camera viewing. Connectivity IP cameras can be connected in following three types of networks • Wired Network. The IP cameras come with RJ45 port and you can connect this camera to a router or a switch in LAN with Cat-5 or Cat-6 cables. Connectivity on a wired network offers maximum security and bandwidth. Wireless network. Like any other wireless device, IP cameras come with a Wi-Fi connectivity option. You can easily connect it to a wireless router to access it without any hassles of wires. But you have to compromise on bandwidth and security on a Wi-Fi network. • Cellular network. Many IP cameras are equipped with inbuilt cellular chips. Cellular networks offer slow bandwidth speeds but much higher security levels than Wireless networks. Remote access Setup In order to access IP cameras from a remote location, you need an internet connection and apart from that you must have a static IP assigned to IP camera. The internet service providers (ISP) can provide you a static IP on paid basis. You need to do forwarding in the router to complete the configuration setup. You can now access the IP cameras by just typing the static IP in web browser address. Page 25 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal If your ISP is unable to provide you static IP, you can subscribe to a fixed URL on DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Service). Most of the sites like DNSdynamic, Dynu, No-IP offer free domain names to map dynamic IPs. 6. Conclusion on IP Camera’s IP cameras are extensively used in both residential and business surveillance largely due to its advanced features. IP cameras consume high bandwidth but produce high definition videos that can be viewed from PC or phone from any remote location over a data connection. If you have used IP cameras or have any question regarding them, do post your queries or views in the comments section. It is a great choice for outdoor applications with IP67 rated weatherproof housing and a built in bracket that has 3-axis adjustment. An optional junction box can be used to keep connections tidy. This camera uses back light compensation (BLC) and 3D digital noise reduction technology (3D DNR) to improve image quality. It also uses a range of smart features such as motion detection, line crossing detection and intrusion detection to improve security further. The DS-2CD2T43G0-I8 supports HIKvision latest H.265+ video compression which dramatically reduces bandwidth and storage usage. There is also a built-in micro SD card slot. This camera can be powered with either a 12VDC power supply or by PoE. It can be accessed remotely through a browser or by Hik-connect. HIKVISION Embedded NVR 32CH DS-7616NI-E2 Page 27 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal Key features: • Max total bandwidth (from all cameras): 160 Mbps • Support for megapixel cameras up to 6 MP • H.264+/H.264 video compression • Stable operation • Place for two SATA HDDs, each up 4 TB • Simultaneous playback of 12 (720p) or 6 (1080p) channels • Support for IE, Opera, Safari • Simultaneously operating HDMI and VGA outputs • HDMI/VGA up to 1920x1080 • Searching archives by motion detection and alarm events • Possibility of continuous recording with special parameters in the case of specific events (only for Hikvision cameras) • Monitoring of the status of LAN, cameras, HDDs Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/A is a modern IP network video recorder capable of monitoring, recording and playing back images from 32 IP cameras of megapixel resolutions, up to 6 MP. This standalone NVR with VGA and HDMI outputs can be directly connected to a monitor, without a need for an additional computer. Thanks to embedded Linux OS, the NVR ensures stable operation and resistance to computer viruses. The local recording and network transmission uses H.264 or H.264+ compression that provides good image quality with relatively small bandwidth and disk space consumption. H.264+ allows for higher compression ratios in the case of less dynamic scenes, preserving image quality similar to H.264. There is place for two SATA HDDs with total capacity up to 8 TB. In addition, the NVR supports NAS (NFS) and SAN (iSCSI) disk arrays. The option of automatic overwriting of existing material prevents loss of the current data. Built-in USB ports can be used for control of the NVR via external devices and for connecting a USB storage device, usually to copy some data. IP CCTV systems based on Hikvision IP cameras and NVRs can be configured for continuous recording with special parameters in the case of specific events. Each channel can be configured individually in this aspect. It is possible to increase the frame and bit rates, independently of the continuous recording settings. After the occurrence of an event (motion detection, camera tampering etc), the NVR automatically switches to the event-recording mode (usually with higher parameters). During the rest of the time the recording is carried out in the continuous mode. The increased parameters just before and after the event allow to play back every second of the period with high detail and smoothness, while the recordings between events may have a much lower performance, taking significantly less space on the storage media. Page 28 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal HIKVISION NVRs in IP networks can be controlled via IVMS 4200 software. The software allows for configuration and management of NVRs/DVRs and IP cameras. The iVMS 4200 utility can remotely manage up to 256 NVRs/DVRs. The user accounts can have different access/management rights, from the highest level of "administrator" to individually limited "guest" levels. HIKVISION CAT6 Cable 12V DC POWER SUPPLY 12V Power Supply boxes are a must have for CCTV camera installations with 4 or more cameras. These boxes connect to a regular 110V power outlet and inside have a terminal board that outputs 12V DC voltage for multiple cameras. They come in a few varieties depending on the number of cameras, and the amount of amperage (aka current) they can support: UHD LED 50INCH TV Page 29 Riteware Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal Page 30 Riteware Technology Technical Proposal For LAN installation, IP Phones, CCTV For New Hotel Riteware Technology – Technical Proposal 7. Acceptance Testing Procedures Once Riteware Technology has completed the installation and we have completed our UTP plant testing, we will then proceed to test the active equipment, being the switches and other equipment installed on the network. We will then connect all the installed network cables to the active equipment. We will then proceed to each network point and run an ICMP (ping echo response test) from a Laptop computer back to the Core switch in the IT Server room. This test will ensure that each network point has total connectivity. The ICMP will indicate in a time factor how long it takes a data packet to get to the Core and back to the Laptop. These times will be noted and an average for each work area will be calculated. These results will be tabulated and will form part of the signoff document. A physical inspection will all be carried out with the appointed officer from your end as part of our hand over procedure. A hand over inspection document will be prepared by Riteware Technology Networks inspection department to be completed and signed by You and Riteware Technology representatives. This form of benchmark testing not only confirms operation and functionality of the entire Enterprise network but will also assist in the future when assessing the effects of additional load factors on the network. We will use a Fluke Network Tester and Produce a Detailed Report for each Network Point to ensure it has met EIA/TIA-568 Standards.
